SIDE STORY: THE FALL OF THE BLACK LOTUS Chapter 4:

Four people walking side by side, one elegant, one gentle, one carefree, one disaster I mean one gloomy and all of them are between handsome and good-looking . Everyone's eyes are fixated on them, the men will stop in admiration, children will talk in a loud voice praising them, while some women dropped their jaws, some has faint blushed on their faces and murmuring to each other.

"Are you really coming with us to Gusu?" Since the incident at the Lotus Pier, the atmosphere between the three of them became awkward. Unable to bear the silence of awkwardness any longer, Wei Wuxian took the initiative to talk. Jiang Cheng didn't say anything or took a glance at their side, he must be really frustrated, Wei Wuxian thought.

"En, even though we have confirmed that you're fine, Sect Leader Lan still asked us so we should go and visit." Jiang Fengmian answered him instead and smiled.

"Why do I still have to go with you? These idiot couple is already a disaster to my life and if that guy adds up, I feel like hanging myself!" Jiang Cheng snorted silently in his heart.

When they arrived at Cloud Recesses, Lan Xichen is waiting for them at the entrance. Jiang Cheng frowned after seeing the man, "How did he know that we're coming today!" he thought then he looked at Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji but the two is also look surprised. His whole body shivered as if a cold wind blows behind him, he can't help but feel nervous.

"I'll just ignore him as if I can't see him!" He convinced himself with this resolve. But when they're already in front of him, Lan Xichen is staring at him intently, his lips is curved up and instead of greeting Jiang Fengmian and the others he walk forward to Jiang Cheng to close the gap between them.

"Jiang Wanyin, you look beautiful today" he said with a natural expression, sweet voice and loving eyes. Everyone were dumbfounded, Wei Wuxian looked at Lan Wangji with his mouth open and has questions in his eyes. Lan Wangji only closed his eyes, Wei Wuxian instantly knows what is the meaning behind it, he look at Jiang Cheng and Lan Xichen then to Lan Wangji again. He repeated his action several times with his mouth covered using his hand, Lan Wangji become worried that his neck would get hurt if he continue to turn his head from left to right and right to left, he hold his head with both hands and made him (WWX) focused on him.

"Stop" he said and Wei Wuxian nodded.

Jiang Fengmian smile faded and his brows narrowed, Jiang Cheng was stunned and unable to move any muscle, his face is red and burning, steam escaped from his head, he bit his mouth unable to respond and think properly at the moment. The wind blows and the leaves flew, Jiang Cheng and Lan Xichen stared at each other for a half of the day, the scene is like one of those romantic moments in a drama. Lan Xichen chuckled and wanted to pull him into embrace but after seeing the troubled face of Jiang Fengmian he put that thought aside and smiled at them.

Lan Xichen guided them to a place where he already prepared some snacks and tea, as they settled down, he poured teas in their cups, his actions are more gentle and courteous today, as if he's trying to impress someone. When he's serving Jiang Cheng, he stole glance at him and their eyes meet accidentally. Jiang Cheng instantly turned sideways to avoid his eyes, he blushed again and he picked up the cup which Lan Xichen filled with tea. He drank it slowly and kept on stealing glances at him (LXC), while Jiang Fengmian silently watched their actions towards each other. He took a sip then glance at them then sip again, the more he watches them the more lines are forming on his forehead. After an hour of sitting and eating in silence, Wei Wuxian couldn't take this awkwardness anymore.

"Lan Zhan! Let's go feed the rabbits or maybe see the juniors!" He stood up and gave excuses just to escape the cold and icy atmosphere.

Lan Wangji nodded, they both saluted and about to leave.
