SIDE STORY: THE FALL OF THE BLACK LOTUS CHAPTER 1:

'Don't grieve for me' That's the last thing he said to me before falling into a deep slumber. We've been together since we were kids, I hated him but at the same time I cared for him. My father brought him here unannounced, we're not related but he's my brother and also my best friend, he's older but I feel like I'm the Big brother. Although he's troublesome, although he's my rival to the attention of my father, although I hated the fact that he's better than me in everything, although I always wanted to be better than him, er no I wanted to be like him. Despite all of that, I hate seeing you in this state, I hate that you have to endure such pain. He said to Wei Wuxian but no response, of course there will be no response. He knows that but like Lan Wangji, every time he visits him in his room he never stop talking to him as if Wei Wuxian could hear everything he's saying.

Jiang Cheng sighed, he open his mouth as if he's hesitating to say the next words.

"Also, Sect Leader Lan.... You see, Uh, nevermind. I need to go now, you know being the sect leader means a busy life, I'll see you again later." He slowly closed the door behind him. He wished that there will be someone he could talk to about the troubles in his heart, his sister rarely comes home to visit them and he's too embarrassed to talk about it to his parents. His brother is all he could think of, but even though he talks to him all day and night there will be no response.

It all started when Lan Wangji began to come to Lotus Pier to visit Wei Wuxian, five years after Wei Wuxian falls into a deep slumber and it was autumn when Lan Wangji comes to visit the man who's forever sleeping with his older brother. Knowing that the second master of GusuLan sect will be visiting again, Jiang Cheng want to avoid seeing and talking with him that would make him feel awkward, well who wouldn't? His brother and Lan Wangji are known to be 'WILL NEVER GET ALONG' but who knew that it won't be the case. Thus Jiang Cheng but felt weird every time he sees Lan Wangji around, he was sitting and monitoring the disciples that are in training. In the past Madame Yu was always the one who's doing this but since he's the sect leader now and has this responsibility in his hands now. While he's scolding the disciples and whipping someone who he claimed to be related to be a part of Wen clan that responsible for Wei Wuxian's condition just because they have the same surname, a gentle and elegant man in white robes walked towards them. His smile is like an angel's, his voice is gentle and soft just like a fairy. When Jiang Cheng noticed the man, he raised a brow and looked at him for a while before talking.

"Sect Leader Lan, what are you doing here?" he said and bowed, but his face is not pleasant as Lan Xichen instead his expression is really dark that everyone who's present thought a thunder will suddenly struck the very spot where they're standing and kill them instantly.

"Jiang Wanyin, you look really busy!" Hearing Lan Xichen is calling him casually Jiang Cheng face twitched a bit in displeasure and coldly replied.
