SIDE STORY: STRAIGHTENING HIS PATH CHAPTER 7

Jing GuangYao run at full speed, he don't know how to get out of this mess, he can't beg for forgiveness knowing that Nie Mingjue was here, with all of the evidences there's no way he can deny it and all he could think of is to escape and live quietly in a place where no one could find him.

He started thinking of a solution of how he can escape, if he run straight outside the other cultivators will catch him, if he stay still he's good as dead. Jing Guangyao have only two options; it's either he surrender and get stabbed by a hundred of swords and let his body get thrown on the middle of the road to rot or resist and escape until he die.

While he's lost in his thought, thinking his way out, he suddenly snapped back from reality when he heard voices of cultivators getting near. He have no other choice but to choose the worse way he could think of.

Jin/Jiang YanLi was waiting restlessly with her son Jin Ling in their room while everyone was searching for whatever happened today. Walking from right to left continuously, she keep on signing, her heart won't calm down, she's so worried for her husband who went out just awhile ago to follow the other cultivators for their search. After some deep thought, she decided to go out to ask someone of what's happening.

"A-Ling! You stay here, I'll just go out for a moment to find out what's happening ok?" She stride towards the door and was about to reach for the door knob when it suddenly opened.

"Uncle!" Jin Ling shouted happily.

"Brother Yao! Did something happen?" Jiang YanLi asked worriedly. Sweats rolled down through his collar bone, he's usual composed and all smile face is no where to be found, it's obvious that he's in hurry.

"I'm sorry sister-in-law...." Jing GuangYao murmured and grabbed her.

Nie Mingjue and the others were still looking for Jin Guangyao at every corner of the koi Tower, suddenly, out of nowhere they heard an ear-piercing bawl. Jin Zixuan who just heard the news from Lan Xichen, panicked when the bawl reached his ears. There are other kids who are the same age as Jin Ling in the tower which are his relatives and the juniors of the other sects but the sound is coming from the direction which he left his wife and son. He sprint in a lightning speed, his heart was pounding, fear and anxiety overcome him, his hands are sweating so much that SuiHua almost slipped from his grip.

"Almost... I'm almost there" The fear in his heart worsened as he getting closer to the room. He opened the door with a loud 'BANG', he saw Jin Ling kneeling on the ground sobbing, his hands are covered in blood and his body is full of wounds.

Jin Zixuan, scanned the whole room, he desperately searching for his wife but there's only Jin Ling inside. He clenched his sword and turned to Jin Ling who's still unable to stop from crying. He asked him his condition and where is Jiang Yanli in a loud voice but he receive no response. He walked towards Jin Ling and grabbed his shoulders, only when the child looked up at him, then he realize that he's still lost in his own world of thoughts.

Jin Ling was snapped back to his senses when he felt a sting on his cheek, Jin Zixuan gave him a strong slap on his left cheek.

"D-Dad?" Jin Ling stuttered.

"Where is your mother?"Jin Zixuan asked the most important questioned and no more. Jin Ling is still half-crying and half-panicking and could only utter a word, "Uncle".

There's no need for more questioned nor answers, Jiang Yanli is not in the room, Jin Ling is wounded, Jin GuangYao crimes are has been unveiled. When he heard the full story from the others, he still want to hear the truth coming from his brother's mouth itself, he want to hear his reasons but that doesn't matter anymore. His son was harmed and his wife is now gone, "You crossed the line" Jin Zixuan muttered to himself, his face darkened, he now wears an expression that's never been seen before on his face.
