16, first mistake

I would be lying if I said i wasn't still trapped by words in my head every night that I lay in distraction.

"They'll leave you in the dust."

I shake my head and brush off the lingering sentence, focusing once more on the tv across the room.

knock knock knock.

"Minji?" A deep voice speaks behind the door. "Come in." I say mindlessly and Taehyung emerges, settling himself besides where I lay.

I looked at him, "Did you need something?" To which he shakes his head, and small smile played at his lips.

"I just wanted the company." He admits and flops next to me, shaking the bed. I nod and the silence returns, the only sound of dramas play on the tv.

Maybe not even five minutes later, there's a yell coming from down the stairs and in the kitchen.

"KIM TAEHYUNG!" Jin screeches and Taehyung freezes. He quickly jumps up from the bed and runs out, to which follows yelling and a toss of arguments.

I get up to check myself, seeing the bickering going on. There sat a pan of burnt food and Jin pointing at it in anger while Taehyung rolls his eyes.

"I said I was sorry!"

"No you aren't! I asked you to watch this for me, where did you go?!"

"I laid with Minji." He huffs, "it got boring watching rice sizzle on a stove!"

"Well thanks to you and your attachment to Minji, there's nothing to eat!"

I tense at the mention of my name and cringe back and leave them to bickering. But as I stepped back, the comment that made me flinch the most came out of Jin's mouth.

"Every since this stupid girl came to this house, all of you are acting like total idiots! I knew this was a bad idea." He yells.

At that, I run to my room and shut the door, coming to regret my choice of ever being associated with these 7 people, that I even start to wonder if I was the real curse in the first place.

Updates are getting shorter and shorter but I get chapters up faster this way.
