"For your Final Year Assignment, I would be really glad if you did it as good as possible. Now, the theme is," Sir Andre, our English teacher, took a marker and wrote it down on the whiteboard. "Struggle. The titles should be extraordinary or I will deduct the marks. I have divided you into groups, 4 students each. You will look on that later," he said.

"I hope we were in the same group," Phoebe whispered to me, Barbara and Eleanor.

"Miss Rodriguez, do you have anything to add?" Sir Andre asked Phoebe after he saw she whispered to three of us.

"No, sir," she smirked.

"Good. So," he continued.

"You just booked the ticket to hell," Barbara whispered to Phoebe.

"Your final assignment will contribute 30% of your overall results. In this theme, well some of you will be graduating at the end of the year, so let's widen our horizons." he walked around the class. "Barbara Hudson," he called out Barb's name who was busy polishing her nails.

"Yes, sir Andre," she smiled.

"What do you think it means by the struggle?" he asked.

"Struggle?" She chuckled. "Is that some kind of...that we tried so hard to achieve something that is difficult or something that we truly want," she answered.

-

"I can't believe we are in the same group," Eleanor put her arms around my shoulder and Phoebe. I just smiled because I couldn't really concentrate. I still remembered the kiss that I shared with Chris. I still remembered how passionate and warmth that kiss was.

"Earth on Katie!" Barbara said to me.

It broke my daydream. "Yah," I replied.

"We will discuss this assignment as soon as possible, I really want to blow Andrew's mind," she said.

"You cannot just address him like that," I felt wrong if someone disrespected his or her teacher like that.

"Whatever, he always fucking underestimates me like what the heck, I'm doing nothing wrong," she showed an exasperation face.

"You've done a thing that is wrong. For example, polishing your nails when he was talking," Eleanor enlightened her.

"Yeah, just be considerate. Maybe he will give us extra marks if we show good attitudes," Phoebe suggested.

"Okay, good girls," she agreed.

A few minutes later, my phone rang. I took it out from my pocket and a message popped out on my screen.

Where u at? This is Chris.

I smiled and immediately tapped to that notification to reply to it.

At hallways. Why?

"Anyone wanna join me to the spa next Friday night?" Barbara asked.

"Wait a sec," Phoebe took out her phone. "I'll check my calendar first," she scrolled her phone. "Fuck! I've to go somewhere else. Sorry," she said.

"I can go," Eleanor said.

My phone vibrated again.

I want to have my meal with you after I finished my basketball practice.

"I'm sorry, I can't go, Barb. Diane will fly to Florida next week so I have to stay at home," I said.

"It's okay, Katie. Okay, I have to go. See you guys tomorrow," Phoebe and Barbara left both of us alone.
