CARTER

Fuck all these people! When I said I wanted the money, then I want that damn thing! Fuck you for not fulfilling my need, Chris Anderson and so called the holiest family of Anderson! Fuck ya!

"I don't care! That fucking boy has messed up with me! He thought by playing it cool can solve the problems! Fuck him!" I screamed at the top of my lungs.

"Carter..." Alicia slowly called my name. "Please, calm down. I know how mad you are at him and his family. Just please... calm down," she patted my chest slowly and kissed the tip of my ear.

"No!" I avoided her touch. "Fuck him. And fuck his family," I took the heroin tablets on the table and hid it from the sight of Alicia. I put them in my pocket and threw the cigarette away on the floor.

"Where are you going?" She asked as I left her behind.

"To the hell," I whispered to myself.

KATHERINE

I waited uneasily at the outside of the emergency room and closed my eyes tightly. My heart was praying that Diane was safe. Eleanor and her parents also accompanied me this afternoon at the hospital since they helped me bringing Diane here. It had been an hour since Diane was admitted. I was glad that Eleanor and her family were there to help me. When the door was opened, a doctor came out ushered by a nurse. Immediately, I stood up, waiting for the answer.

"Miss Diane Winter's family?" He asked.

"Me, I'm her niece," I answered as I put up my hand.

"Can I talk to you? Just both of us?" He asked again.

"Okay," I smiled at Eleanor and her parents as a sign of leaving. I walked beside the doctor and he brought me to his office that was just a stone's thrown away.

"Have a seat," he pulled the chair in front of him so I could sit and he took his seat too. "I'm Dr Tony Steele, in charge with your aunt's treatment," he smiled and then his eyes were shifted to the report on his hand.

"Did something bad happen?" I asked slowly.

He was reluctant to answer initially but then, he carved a smile and avoided my eyes. "Honestly, yes," he answered. "Miss..."

"Katherine, just call me Katie," I replied.

"Okay, Katie. I want to know, how long have you been living with Miss Winter?" He asked as he put aside the report on the table.

"Um... about 5 years now. I lived with her since my parents passed away," I explained.

"5 years," he nodded. "So, in that period, have you ever encountered Miss Winter taking any drugs? Not drug as in prescribed by doctors, but you know," he questioned me.

"Yes, I have and I am well-informed that she used to take it before," I answered honestly.

"Have she ever entered any rehabilitation center or anything?" He asked again.

I was worried. Did Diane took the drugs again? "What's going on, doctor?" I asked.

He sighed. "Look, I require some info from you..."
