I turned my body to the left side of the bed so I could stare long enough to the picture of me and Chris together on the frame. I could feel my eyes were starting to get painful, it was red because I couldn't stop myself from crying.

"Kate, Eleanor's here. She wanted to meet you," she knocked softly on the door. I didn't say anything so Eleanor entered my bedroom.

"Hey," Eleanor closed the door behind her. Realizing that I didn't bother to reply, she took a seat on the sofa beside my bed.

We didn't say anything instead I just stared blankly at the photo and my tears kept rolling down my cheek. Eleanor pretended that she didn't bother about me by looking through the magazine. I immediately put down the frame so I couldn't see it anymore and I sat on my bed. Still, no one said anything and I continued to stare blankly on the wall.

A few minutes later, my phone was beeping as a sign that I received a message. I glanced a bit and it was from Chris. Eleanor glanced too but didn't do or say anything. Seconds later, a second beep seized the moment of silence between me and Eleanor. I could feel Eleanor glanced at me a bit to see what would I do. Instead, I did nothing. Not long after that, a new message popped up on my screen causing the third beep.

"Look, Katie," Eleanor tossed the magazine beside her. "I know I told you to play hard to get, but you should at least see what he has to say," Eleanor said. Again, I ignored her. She took my phone above the drawer and took a seat beside me. "He's asking if he can come over and talk to you."

"Don't," I said it immediately. "Please just delete them," I requested. My voice came out rusty.

"Kate," Eleanor begged.

"Look, El. If I opened the message, I'm gonna reply and then, he's gonna reply and then, we will meet each other." I explained but my voice came out slow like I didn't want to answer.

"I don't see you meeting him is wrong," Eleanor voiced out.

"I can't handle it, okay? I'm gonna get hurt and I didn't want him to hurt me," I said, my voice started to tremble. "So, please, can you just delete them?" I demanded.

"Yeah. Okay," she obeyed. "But promise me you will tell me what the heck is going on." She looked at me in my eyes and I didn't say anything. So, she just deleted it afterwards.

My weights extremely decreased two days of being heartbroken. My eyes became red and swollen and my cheek flushed. Today was supposed to be the pre-presentation. I had ignored my diet for two days now, so I decided to fill my tummy with a banana. But when I wanted to take a seat at my usual place, I remembered the incident where I almost choked myself to death and Chris became my saviour. I couldn't forget that and it shattered me into pieces. I nearly cried again, so I rapidly threw the banana into the bin and left the cafeteria.

As I walked down the hallways, I saw the counsellor's office and it stopped me. I didn't think that was a good time for me to tell people my problems so I went to the toilet and calmed myself down. After this, I would have pre-presentation and I was not going to mess that up. I fixed my hair, put on some powder on my face and breathed a few times to calm myself. After I found my strength back, I exited the toilet and went straight to the class and took a seat beside Eleanor.

"Where the hell have you been?" Barbara asked me. "I've called you a few times but you didn't answer."

"Sorry," I smiled wryly and Eleanor immediately rubbed my hand gently.

"Okay, Barbara, Phoebe, Eleanor and Katherine, your turns now," Sir Andre announced.

Four of us walked towards the front of the class and I opened my laptop for the slide. Unfortunately, the documents were nowhere to be found.

"What the hell?" I talked to myself.

"What's wrong?" Eleanor asked.

"The documents, everything is missing," I answered.

"You got to be kidding me," Barbara seemed to piss off.

"Is everything alright, Katherine?" Sir Andre asked.

"I'm sorry, I couldn't find the files anywhere. I have searched through the desktop, documents, recycle bin but I still couldn't find it," I explained.

"Okay, well, we see you next week at our final presentation. Class dismissed," Sir Andre and all our classmates start to exit the classroom, leaving four of us alone.

I sighed heavily and rubbed my temples a few times after I turned off my laptop.

"What the hell, Katie? Are you trying to screw us up?" Barbara was really mad that I could hear at her voice. "Newsflash. This is you trying to sabotage us," she continued.

"Okay, I'm sorry that I messed you guys up, but I really didn't know where the hell the files have gone and I wasn't intending to sabotage you or anyone," I explained and my voice sounded firm.

"It's not your job to actually preparing the slides. Why don't you ask El or Phoebe about their view on your fucking sabotage just now," Barbara said. Eleanor and Phoebe just stared at each other, didn't speak out anything. "See, I told you, Phoebe, she hates me," Barbara added after no one said anything.

"Barb, no," Phoebe interrupted.

"It's okay, Phoebe," Phoebe looked at me. "You don't have to pretend that you're allowed to have a say in the group, right?" I smiled wryly.

"I knew you're hooking up with Gabriel behind my back," Barbara said.

Well, this was off-limits. I took a deep breath and I stood in front of her. I pulled my hand away from Eleanor's hard after she gripped at my wrist, knowing that I have exceeded my limits of patience.

"The only reason, I became your friend because you say you want Gabriel, remember?" My voice was sharp. Tears started to flow down my cheek. I looked into Barbara's eyes.

"All right, come on, Kate," Eleanor tried to pull me.

"No," I said as I jerked away from Eleanor. "But now, I realized it's not about friendship or wanting Gabriel at all. It's about me being there to cover your ass when you hooked up with randoms!" My breath was heavy. I still looked at her on her eyes. "Name it. Edward? Henry? Taylor?" Barbara looked at me without saying anything.

"Screw you!" Barbara said to me. "I will kick you out from my group and good luck for your final presentation next week," she said.

I left them alone and Eleanor followed me from behind. "Kate!" She called out my name by I ignored her. There were too many things happened in just a week.
