At the table, the guys were complimenting the girls on their performance. Many of them split off to dance or get a drink.

"Tom, do you want to dance?" Josie asked.

"Uh, sure." He got up, letting her lead him to the other side of the dance floor.

"Well, that's something." Archie said.

"I told her to ask him, otherwise they'd get nowhere." Sophia said.

"That's the truth." Veronica said. "Come on, Archiekins. Let's have a boogie." They got up to dance too.

"I'm going out for a cigarette." Sophia said.

"I'll come with you." Betty said. "Boys, could you get us some drinks for when we come back?"

"Sure." Jughead and Sweet Pea said.

The girls went outside.

"I swear when I get Betty home..." Jughead shook his head.

Sweet Pea laughed. "It was quite the performance by them. And the outfits were really something."

"Do you think anything will happen with you and Soph tonight?" Jughead asked.

"I want to stick to what I've said but I don't know if I'll be able to." Sweet Pea admitted.

Outside, the girls were having a similar conversation.

"Jughead looks like he wants to take you home and have his way now." Sophia laughed.

Betty laughed too. "He has been very hands on since we've been back. But what about you and Sweet Pea?"

"He's been abnormally quiet. I don't think he quite knows what to think of the whole thing." Sophia said.

"What do you mean?" Betty asked.

"Had we done this a few weeks ago, it would be another way for me to find a guy to fuck. And I think Sweet Pea knows that. He doesn't want to be that sort of person to me - not that he ever would - and I think he's conflicted on how to feel about it." Sophia explained.

"I see what you mean." Betty nodded. "I'm sure you'll get whatever you want out of this night."

"Oh, I plan on it." Sophia smirked. "Let's go in."

When they went back into the speakeasy, the boys had drinks waiting for them.

"We saw Josie and Tom at the bar." Sweet Pea told them.

"Ooh, and?" Sophia asked.

"They looked very cosy. Like tongues-in-mouth cosy." Jughead said.

"Well, that is an advancement." Betty said.

While Betty, Veronica, Sophia, Cheryl and Toni were dancing together, Tom pulled Sophia to the side.

"I'm off," he said.

"You are?" She asked.

"Yeah. I'm gonna make sure Josie gets home okay." Tom said.

"Oh, right." Sophia nodded. "Well, be good."

"Bye everyone." Josie said goodbye before taking Tom's hand.

"Bye guys." The girls all waved, knowing smiles on their faces.

Soon, a lot of the others began to leave too. Moose and Kevin went together, Reggie, Chuck, Archie and Veronica left in similar directions, Fangs, Sweet Pea, Sophia, Jughead and Betty walked Cheryl and Toni to Thistle House before going back to the trailer park. They each said goodnight before heading back to their own trailers.
