Sweet Pea woke up in the morning, turning off the alarm and turning on his side to face Sophia. She was still asleep, and he brushed some hair out of her face.

"God, you're beautiful," he whispered.

Sophia stirred, turning and nuzzling into him. He wrapped his arms around her, his fingers tracing her skin. As she woke up, she kissed his neck softly.

"Morning, Sweets," she mumbled into his skin.

"Morning, princess," he replied. "We need to get up for school, soon."

"No." Sophia shook her head. "Let's skip. Even a couple of periods. I just want to chill."

"Sure, baby. We can stay here a while." Sweet Pea agreed.

Sweet Pea🌵 : me and soph wont be in school for a while
Fangs💀 : why?
Sweet Pea🌵 : we're gonna chill
Fangs💀 : you're gonna end up in detention
Sweet Pea🌵 : doesnt matter. we'll see you later
Fangs💀 : alright loverboy. have fun

Sweet Pea put his phone away and he and Sophia cuddled up together. They were quiet, just with each other in the moment.

"Sweet Pea, can I ask you something?" Sophia asked after some time, her fingers tracing patterns on his bare chest.

"Of course. What is it?" He asked, stroking her back.

"How do you feel about me?"

"What do you mean?"

"There's no hidden meaning in it, Sweets. I just want to know how you feel."

"I just- I'm surprised it's even a question."

"A question I'd quite like you to answer."

"Sophia." Sweet Pea took her face in his hand. "You want to know how I feel about you?"

"I do." Sophia nodded.

"You're the only thing that makes me feel. When my mom died when I was little, you were there to keep me going. My dad fucked off a few years ago which is when I joined the Serpents. All I had was them, until you came back into my life. The only emotion I felt was anger and I felt it a lot. Other than that, I was just a neutral person in all situations. With you, I feel happy again. I can feel everything again. I have you, and I'm so thankful for that." Sweet Pea said. "You're my life. I can't imagine spending a day without you now. It's me and you for the rest of time. Because you mean so much to me."

"Me and you forever, Sweet Pea." Sophia bit her lip. "I don't know where our lives will lead us, and I know we've only been together a couple of weeks but I've always known that I have someone there for me. That's you. You're my person. Without you, I don't know what I'd do."

They both leaned in sharing a slow, meaningful kiss.

"You're the only person I can ever see myself being with, Soph. Nobody else would ever compare." Sweet Pea told her.

"I feel exactly the same, Sweet. I told Archie at the lodge. You're everything." Sophia replied with a smile.

Sweet Pea pecked her lips once more. "Let's get ready. We're already gonna have detention."

"Detention is just an extra hour with you." Sophia grinned, and they both got up to get ready.

They made their way to school, getting in just about when the morning break was beginning.

"Sweet Pea, Sophia." Mr Weatherbee just so happened to be near the entrance when they got there.

"Yes, sir?" They asked.

"You're late." The principal crossed his arms.

"We are." Sophia confirmed. "We had bike trouble."

"I'm sure you did." Principal Weatherbee nodded. "Detention after school, both of you."

"We'll be there, sir." Sweet Pea saluted, and they walked to the common area.

"Ah, here's the happy couple." Reggie said. "Where have you guys been?"

"We just fancied a lay in." Sophia squeezed on the sofa behind Veronica, wrapping her arms around her waist.

"Did you get detention?" Fangs asked.

"Of course, we did." Sweet Pea said. "Weatherbee was at the entrance."

"How's Trish going to feel about you having detention, Soph?" Chuck asked.

"She joined a gang at twelve, Chuck. Detention is the least of our mum's worries." Tom shook his head.

Veronica had been typing away furiously on her phone, and let out a frustrated sigh.

"What's up?" Archie asked, grabbing her hand.

"I'm down a bartender tomorrow night," she said. "Chuck, Reggie could one of you cover?"

"Sorry, V, we've got dates." Reggie said.

"We're taking them there though." Chuck shrugged.

"I'll do it, V." Sophia rested her chin on Veronica's shoulder.

"You know how to work a bar?" Betty asked.

"Our old gang base was a strip club. I did everything. Bar work, helped keep the books, cleaned, fixed costumes, danced. I got this, V." Sophia squeezed her friend.

"Thank you, you're a lifesaver." Veronica turned to kiss Sophia's cheek. "But even still, trial run for an hour tonight."

"Sure thing." Sophia nodded. "I can even make a couple of drinks you don't have on the menu at the moment, see if you want to mix it up a bit."

"In that case, we'll be there to test out these concoctions too." Cheryl smiled.
