In the morning, everyone went downstairs, the girls in pyjamas or shirts, the boys in sweatpants. Everyone had breakfast together before Veronica sent the boys out to chop some more wood for the fire. The girls all sat in the lounge, drinking mimosas.
"So... It sounded like you had a good night last night, Ronnie." Cheryl said.
"And it sounded like you did too." Veronica replied.
"We can all cut the crap here. Everyone had sex. And probably great sex at that." Sophia shrugged.
"Is it not weird that we all heard each other though?" Betty asked.
"No. We're all friends." Toni said.
Sophia poured out three drinks and took them outside to the boys.
"For our hard workers." She handed them over.
"Thanks, Soph." Sweet Pea kissed her, pulling her into his side.
"So, Jug, was last night a normal or dark Betty situation?" Sophia asked.
"I know I'm going to regret asking but I keep hearing it and I'm still clueless. What's dark Betty?" Archie asked. Sophia smirked.
"Well." Jughead started. "Dark Betty is when she dresses up in a black bobbed wig, darkish makeup, a lace top and a leather skirt."
"Yeah, shouldn't have asked." Archie said.
"You've been friends with her forever. You've got to think of her in a new light. You're not thirteen anymore." Sweet Pea said.
"He's probably worried he'll get a boner or something." Sophia said. "Have fun boys." She kissed Sweet Pea before going back inside.
"How are you handling her?" Jughead laughed as Sophia walked away.
"Somehow." Sweet Pea shook his head. "She's mental but I absolutely adore her."
"It's cool that you two got together. She may've been with a few people in Riverdale but you're definitely the only one who could handle her in a relationship." Archie said.
"Yeah, I'm definitely going to have my work cut out for me but I'm okay with that." Sweet Pea said.
"However long I've known you and seen you around with the Serpents, I've never seen you like this over a girl. That's how I knew it would work out." Jughead said.
"How are they doing?" Betty asked when Sophia walked back in.
"Yeah, I doubt they'll be long." Sophia said.
When the boys had gathered the wood, they brought it inside and joined the girls in the lounge.
"So, what's the plan for today?" Archie asked.
"Well, we can go into town. We need a few supplies if we're going to have a cook out later." Veronica said.
"Sounds like a plan." Cheryl nodded.
Everyone went to their rooms to shower and change so they were ready to go out. Veronica led the way into town, and they brought some food from the grocery store. They stopped by a little cafe to have a drink and a snack.
"This is a cute little place." Sophia said.
"Yeah. Everyone smile for Instagram!" Veronica held up her phone and took a photo.
When they got back to the lodge, the girls all changed into their bikinis, laying down in the late May sunshine. Sweet Pea and Archie were throwing a football back and forth, while Jughead typed away on his laptop. Sophia lowered her sunglasses, watching as Sweet Pea and Archie took off their shirts.
"Damn," she muttered.
"Appreciating the artwork?" Veronica giggled.
"Look at them, V." Sophia sighed.
"I know. They're really something." Veronica nodded.
"Question, and don't feel weird about answering it. Have you ever found Sweet Pea attractive?" Sophia asked.
"Do I not have eyes? Of course." Veronica replied. "He's tall, handsome, rugged and a bad boy. Back in New York that was pretty much exclusively my type of guy."
"From what I've seen and heard Archie is the opposite of that." Sophia chuckled.
"Oh, he is. I mean, he has his moments but he's pretty much just the good guy next door." Veronica agreed. "But I love him. And look at those abs!"
"He's a sight to behold, V. You're a lucky girl." Sophia said.
"As are you, Soph." Veronica clinked their glasses.
Sophia's phone buzzed.
Tommy👻 : hey! hope you're all having fun. was just with mum and dad and we realised tomorrow it'll be 15 weeks since we moved. we've been here almost 4 months how wild??xx
Sophia😈 : having a great time thanks! :) oh my god that is crazy. we've already done so much haha. feels like forever xo

"Who's that?" Toni asked.
"Tommy. He was just telling me that tomorrow we would've been in Riverdale for fifteen weeks. We've been here almost four months which is mad." Sophia said.
"That is mad." Jughead agreed.
"Yeah. It feels like you've been here years." Betty said.
"Four months of high school and we've got the SAT's soon," said Archie. "Good luck."
"I'm so glad that after everything with Jason, I decided to retake a year so we all graduate together next year." Cheryl said.
"It wouldn't be the same if you weren't there." Toni smiled.
"I have to agree, there." Sweet Pea said with a nod.
