Draco was not happy.

The twins had dyed his hair while he was asleep.

Ginger.

Hogwarts was tomorrow, and apparently the twins wanted people to know that Draco had spent the summer with them. Draco was sure that Molly could very easily fix his hair, but she was out with Arthur grocery shopping, so he had to wait for at least three hours with ginger hair.

He really wished he could use magic outside of Hogwarts.

"It's really not that bad," Harry kept saying, but Ron couldn't stop laughing whenever he looked to Draco, so Draco knew Harry was lying.

The wait for Molly and Arthur to get home wasn't pleasant for anyone besides the twins, as Draco was storming about, throwing whatever was in reach at anyone who so much as glanced at him. Finally, he was left alone in the bedroom he shared with Ron and Harry to fume.

"Rotten twins," he seethed. "Turning me ginger. Do they even realize how rare my hair is? Do they know how much people want my hair? And now it's ginger. Merde."

Draco after what seemed like hours, Draco heard the sounds of Molly and Arthur coming home. He slammed the door open and stomped downstairs.

"Oh, Draco, I didn't recognize you!" Molly exclaimed.

"There are two of your sons that I am particularly not happy with right now," Draco hissed. "So if you would please fix this, that would be great."

Molly hurriedly took out her wand and muttered some sort of charm. Draco turned to the mirror hanging from the wall and sighed deeply. That was much better. He had his platinum locks once more.

"Thank you."

"Of course dear. I assume this was Fred and George's doing?"

"Who else?"

Molly shook her head. "Those two. Well, where are Harry and Ron?"

Draco shrugged. "I don't know. I wanted to be alone."

Molly nodded. "Well, go see if you can find them. I'm going to start on lunch. Arthur, you go reprimand the twins, will you?"

Arthur, who had been silent throughout the exchange, startled at the sound of his name and jumped up. "Oh, of course."

Draco went outside where Harry and Ron would probably be and found them sitting in the garden, watching the chickens walk around. They looked up and both let out a breath when they saw that Draco's hair was back to normal.

"So what have you two been up to?" Draco asked, sitting down in he dirt next to them.

"Nothing much," Ron answered. "Just fed the chickens. Spotted a few gnomes. We'll probably have to take care of those before school tomorrow."

"Fantastic."

Ron nodded. "At least the bites heal quickly. So, I take it Mum and Dad are home?"

"Yeah. Molly said she was starting on lunch."

"Did she say what she was making?" Harry asked.

"No. Something involving meatballs, it looked like. Where's Ginny?"

"In the woods over there," Ron said. "She's spent a lot of time in there this summer. I wonder what she's doing."

Draco shrugged and looked to the woods. They didn't seem dangerous, at least. Draco had never actually been in them.

"Heh, look at this one," Harry said.

Draco turned back and grinned. One of the chickens was pecking curiously at Harry's shoe.
