More Than Teammates

Chapter 6

~Lili's POV~

I woke up at 8.

"FUCK JORDAN WILL BE HERE IN A FEW MINUTES."

I threw on sweatpants and a t shirt, brushed my teeth and hair. I grabbed my swim bag and my equipment bag and waited by the door. I looked at my phone 8:20. I looked up and he was in the driveway. I ran out and jumped into his arms.

"Someone's excited to see me."

"Oh shut up. Feed me."

"Hungry?"

"Starving."

We got into his car.

"Dunkin Donuts?"

"YES."

We walked in and I rattled off my order. He ordered and took out his wallet.

"Stop I'm paying. You payed for the movie."

"I'm going to pay for my girlfriend."

"No."

"Yes."

"Jordan come on I'll pay."

He handed over the money.

"Well I just paid."

"Ugh."

He slipped his arm around me.

"You love me."

"Yes I do."

We sat down at a table and started eating.

"Lili are you ready now?"

"Let me figure out how I want to say it. I was up all last night trying to but I couldn't think of it."

"Okay."

~Jordan's POV~

After a few minutes she started talking,

"I just wanted to tell you about something I did a while ago. I feel like you should know because you love me and you want to protect me."

"What?"

She looked scared and heartbroken,

"Jordan I tried to kill myself...3 times."

"Lili."

"I'm sorry. I'm still depressed but I'm not at that point anymore. I just wanted to tell you because you want to protect me."

"Lili I love you so much, just tell me when you're upset or feeling worthless and I'll remind you that you aren't and that you're perfect."

"God you're perfect."

"Lili you're perfect."

We threw out our trash and I drove us to the pool. When we got there we went into the locker rooms. This was going to be a rough practice.
