More Than Teammates

Chapter 20

~Lili's POV~

I woke up about an hour later to a doctor over me. They did a quick check up and let me go home. My parents let Jordan drive me home, while making a quick pit stop at his house to grab clothes for a few days. When we got to his house I went upstairs to help him. I curled up in his bed.

"I thought you were going to help?"

"Yeah but it hurts."

"Did you take pain medicine?"

"I haven't been home yet."

"Oh true."

I smiled at my stupid, but adorable boyfriend. He was grabbing the last of his things while I was still snuggled in his bed.

"Babe come on."

He picked me up, still being careful of my shoulder and brought me to the car. He got in and kissed my new scar on my shoulder.

"Really?"

"Yeah, it needs extra love."

I rolled my eyes at him. When we got to my house he took me upstairs to my bed. I tucked me in and laid next to me. I rolled onto my good side to face him. He slipped his arm around me and I shifted to put my head on his chest.

"Jordan?"

"Yeah babe?"

"Nothing I just wanted to hear your voice."

He smiled and kissed the top of my head.

"This is better than school. I want to do this everyday."

"Well you promised Coach you'd be at practice tomorrow and I'm forcing myself to go to school tomorrow."

"Lili wait another day before you go back. After practice you have PT."

"I'm going tomorrow and I know."

I snuggled into my boyfriend, I hated the thought that we couldn't do this tomorrow too. He knew I was getting worked up.

"Lili it's okay."

I held my fragile girlfriend in my arms.

"Jordan I'm just stressed."

"Babe it's okay."
