~Jordan's POV~
I walked into the room. Her shoulder looked okay. The doctor came in behind me,
"She's still asleep. You're her boyfriend, correct?"
"Yeah."
"You're going to need to be careful with her, she's very fragile. We haven't seen a shoulder this bad in a while."
"Will she ever be able to swim again?"
"Maybe in a year or two."
"Oh my god."
I sat on the edge of her bed and buried my head in my hands.
"She'll need a lot of physical therapy and she won't be able to do a lot of things right away but she'll be okay."
I took her hand, it was cold and limp.
"I love her and I feel like this is my fault."
"She pushed herself too much, you didn't do this to her."
The doctor left the room and everyone else came in.
"She's still asleep. Can I have some time alone with her when she wakes up?"
Everyone nodded and left the room. The last to leave was Bri.
"Don't upset her, she means the world to me too."
After a few minutes of me sitting at the edge of her bed, her eyes fluttered open. I kissed her lips and she smiled.
"Jordan I love you."
"Lili I love you too."
I was careful around her shoulder,
"Jordan how bad is it?"
"You won't be able to swim for a year or two."
She started crying.
"Lili it'll be okay.
"Jordan, Swimming is the one thing I love, besides you obviously....wait. Then I can't play softball either."
"Babe it'll be okay."
She squeezed my hand.
"Lili I'm going to be there every second of your recovery."
