~Lili's POV~

I climbed out of the water for the second time today. I knew he wasn't there but I wanted him to be. I helped with the lane lines and walked over the grab my bag. I saw two texts.

Brianna: okay how's this guy? You haven't texted me in a while so I'm assuming you're in love.

Jordan: hey beautiful. How was practice? I want to hold you right now.

My heart beat faster while I was reading Jordan's. I responded to Bri's with a cute picture of Jordan and I. I left Jordan's and went into the locker room. My teammate that I can't stand was in there already.

"How's your boy toy?"

"Jordan is so sweet, so perfect and the best boyfriend ever."

"Sounds like you really like him. But you better watch out, he doesn't seem loyal."

"He is. He promised me."

"Has he ever broken a promise?"

"Well.... not while we were dating."

"You better watch out."

With that she left. I finished getting changed and walked to my moms car. I decided to texted him now because I couldn't wait to get home.

Me: it was horrible without you here.

Jordan: how does your shoulder feel?

Me: it hurts really badly

Jordan: please don't hurt yourself

Me: I'm okay, promise

Jordan: you need to take a day off. Do you want to spend the whole day with me? I just have Varsity practice at 8 so I can be at your house at 10:30.

Me: if it's a day off with you then sure.

Jordan: good. I have no plans but anything with you is perfect.

Me: awwwww

Jordan: okay go to sleep beautiful. I'll text you in the morning.

Perfect timing. My mom pulled into the driveway. I hung up my wet suit and went right to bed. I'll shower in the morning.

~Jordan's POV~

I woke up to my alarm and drove to the pool. I was the last one there. My coach wasn't too happy.

"Jordan. You've been so out of it lately. Get focused if you want to make that state cut."

"Yes Coach."

One of my teammates butted in,

"Coach he has a girlfriend now."

Coach glared at me,

"Who?"

"Lili, Varsity girls swimmer, the one who sang all the national anthems for you."

"Why her?"

"Because I like her a lot. Because she cares about me and I care about her. I feel like I've known her my whole life. Also she gets swimming, the mental aspect, the toll it takes physically, the amount of practice it takes, the disappointment when you miss a time. She gets it, no one else does. She reminded me that not everything in life is work."

My whole team looked at me. My coach stared at me.

"Get in the water, all of you."

We all hopped in the pool and started out practice.

After practice I was heading into the locker room when Coach stopped me.

"Don't let her distract you from what you want."

"I can have both. And if it were up to me, I'd rather have her then that state cut any day."

He looked at me like I was crazy.

"Jordan why would you pick a girl over a state cut? You can easily make the 100 fly and break that record next year if you work for it."

"Coach you don't understand how I feel about her. I really like her, a lot. I'll break the record, I have club season to train too. I'm going to break the record next year and I'm getting the state cut this year, but I'm doing it with Lili by my side."

I walked into the locker room. All my teammates were in shock that I just talked to coach like that.

"Jordan he's never going to put you in the 100 fly again. He's going to ruin your chances unless you break up with her."

"I don't care. He can do what he wants but all I know is that I want Lili."
