Jeongguk was lost, he wanted to do something fun, alone, but most of the shops were shut because of heavy snow and Christmas eve. He should've stayed home, but being with Taehyung was difficult, the boy was complete mess, he barely washed up during weekends and ate stale food.

Jeongguk wanted to have a real meal, but finding any open places was difficult, he did find a few ramen shops, but he kept them as a side option, hoping to find something better, as he walked further.

Everyone around him seemed to be having fun with their loved ones, giggling and taking pictures of each other, he wondered how it was to be loved.

The last time he checked, the dude he was crushing on was crushing on his sister. Tragic. And that is why gays shouldn't fall for straight dudes.

He didn't confront his sister about it though, considering they weren't that close anymore, it was of no use. He should've stayed home besides Taehyung.

A couple passed by, giving him judging stares, making him pull down his sweater paws and wrap a scarf around his neck- which he was carrying just in case the temperature dropped.

He felt like a freak. He shouldn't have added so many tattoos on his skin.

It started in middle school, when jeongguk started facing crisis with life, he had made a skull tattoo on his lower abdomen, where no one could see it. Funny how their school didn't organise full body check up camps, or how his PE coach never saw him shirtless, the dude had some luck in his pocket.

While strolling around, jeongguk came across a salon, a memory of his red haired childhood best friend flashed in. Taehyung and him were so close till high school, they were practically each other's best buddies for everything they did, from preparing eggs to bathing together, they were inseparable.

Taehyung used to love dyeing his hair. They were that part of his body that had faced the most changes, blue like sky, pink like bubblegum, scarlet like strawberry, purple like lilac flower. He even had rainbow hair once, jeongguk remembers making fun of him ti-

"Hi there, say hello without being extra
Let's start, without introductions
No touching, back off back off
I like it like this, balance balance~", Jeongguk continued staring at his phone screen that was lit because of an unknown id calling him. He took his time admiring his favourite singers voice before picking it up, "Jeongguk?"

He recognised the voice and hung up without replying, the phone lit up again, he swiped the red button, declining the call, it lit up again, and again, "what do you want?", was the first thing jeongguk said as he picked up.

"I want you to come to the station and pick me up.", his sister replied with equally annoyed tone, "Why?", "because mom said so."

"Oh.. wow!", Jeongguk scoffed, "lastly I remembered she said no one in your family was interested in talking to me, so fuck off."

"You're such a fucking brat.", Jeongguk was about to hang up until he heard a small weak 'wait' coming from the other line, "I- I ran away."

The breathing on the other end slowed down and Jeongguk knew that his sister was crying, "I- I'm sorry- I just need a place to crash by for a few days.. I wouldn't live with you... just help me book a hotel room."

Jeongguk felt his heart churn at the thought of his sister holding back her sobs, she was the stronger sibling since the start. Being 4 years older was definitely not easy for her, she was tough and scary from outside but a huge softie from inside. Jeongguk sighed before nodding and telling her that he would help her find a place.
