Bro, I want tattoos

_______________

Jeongguk was sure that Soyeon was over working herself. She looked way too exhausted to even think otherwise.

Taeyang was back at being his usual serious-sad-hilarious self. Jeongguk wasn't sure if his usual self had always been serious and sad, but it made him wonder if that case occurred after his sister's disappearance.

Jeongguk too had decided to do something. Something really essential.

"I'm gonna get my tattoos covered."

Taehyung choked on his coffee, "E-excuse me?"

Jeongguk diverted his gaze back to the piece of untouched omelette on his plate out of nervousness, "well...", he paused as his hands grasped each other under the table, "... I want to- i mean... I think.... well, i believ-"

"Jeongguk, your tattoos are beautiful."

"You are the only one who thinks like that.", Jeongguk tried to smile as his eyes lowered even farther away from Taehyung's, "I... don't want people to talk."

Taehyung remained quite and listened to Jeongguk-who had soon begun crying. He was always aware of the fact how insecure Jeongguk felt regarding his tattoos but it never came to him how internally hurt he actually could've been.

To an extent where he wanted them covered.

Taehyung stood up from his chair and walked towards Jeongguk, his hands going beneath his legs and waist, as he carried him away to the comfort of their bed.

He comforted him because that was the only thing he could do at the moment, he let the younger cry as much as he pleased. And, after an hour, when he was back from his breakdown, Taehyung spoke, "I always wanted you to make a tattoo on my body. Will you?"

Jeongguk's face had dropped completely. He looked even paler than before, eyes wide and filled with worry, "Tae...", he brought his hands up to cup the older's face, "What are you saying?"

"I want to have a tattoo... i'm ready with my design."

Jeongguk shook his head, "Don't do it.", he said because he knew that Taehyung wasn't playing around, "Y...you can have the temporary ones. I-i'll... i'll draw them-"

"Gukkie, it's my body and i'm the only one who has any rights to judge it. I'll do what I want on it because it's mine."

Jeongguk broke down again, shaking his head violently, "Stupid Taehyung!", he buried his face in Taehyung's chest as the older rocked him back and forth.

He knew what Taehyung had been trying to say, he understood it very well. But, Taehyung was trying to do something that was going to fuck him up very bad. He wasn't sad that Taehyung wanted a tattoo, honestly, a single tattoo was never a topic for talk. His concern involved Taehyung wanting to do it for him.

Jeongguk remembers how addicting the ink had been at one point in his life. He wouldn't stop because the feeling of needle against his skin felt so good.

He doesn't remember getting any tattoo out of pure joy. They were all made on his body when he was going through something hard, when he had wanted to punish himself but had felt contemplated. After getting his first permanent ink, he was happy that instead of going for harder ways he stuck himself with getting something beautiful on his body. He never realised how often he remained sad, and how this habit of his had turned itself on him.

People don't talk about you when you have a few tattoos for aesthetic. But, they do when your skin is filled with it. It's not pleasant.

Everyone are mean and Jeongguk dislikes mean people.
