Chapter 5: The Quest

"Matt!!!" Someone yelled from across camp. Matt looks around to see who was calling him. He turned around to a centaur.

"Oh, hey Chiron!" Matt says, still has a bit of food on his mouth.

"I need you to see the Oracle." Chiron asks

"Which one? The one that rhymes or the one that doesnt rhyme?" Matt asks, since there are actually two Oracles, which everyone thought was weird.

"The one that rhyme....." Chiron says, as he points Matt in the direction of the Oracles cave

"I know where the god damn Oracle is, I've lived here for a couple years now, I think I know where it is." Matt says still annoyed about what happened in the forest. So Matt runs to the Oracle's cave, but runs into Taika.

"Hey, its been a while....." Taika says, Matt can tells something is bothering her

"Is something wrong?" Matt asks

"Im worried about what happened to Hannah, where did that tornado come from?" Taika asks worridly.

"Oh, uh..... that was, um.... me" Matt says nervously.

"Wait what?" Taika asks trying to process this. After a minute of processing Taika finally said "Wow..... never knew you had it in ya to do soooo much damage, you put TWENTY people to the infirmary."

"I know, but I don't understand one thing...... its how Hannah saw a shark. I didnt make one go in there." Matt says confused.

"Well, its like this. When you get pissed, everyone around you sees a shark, its like your animal spirit starts to come out." Taika explains, also confused

"WHAT! No freaking way!" Matt says very shocked.

"It's true, that's why many people at school were afraid of you." Taika adds in.

"That explains so much, well, I have to go see the Oracle I'll see you at lunch or at the campfire." Matt says walking away putting up the peace sign with his fingers. Taika waves to him and walks away.

As Matt walks to the Oracle's place he notices a change in the wind and says to himself, "A storms coming to Camp Half-Blood, no, to Mount Olympus." Matt is able to "read" the wind because he took lesson from Chrion. As Matt continues to the Oracle, he is stopped by Zea. Who seems very happy.

"Hey Matt! I heard you're going to see the a Oracle for a sec..... mind if I come?" Zea asks.

"Yeah sure, I don't see why you shouldn't." Matt replies. So now Matt and Zea head toward the Oracle, and they start chatting about camp and how Zea is doing with the Hunters, and of course, she can't get used to saying "thee" or "thy" so they all laugh at her.

"Ok, hear we are..... nice place, huh?" Matt asks.

"Uh, yeah it is," Zea says shocked, but then asks, "What are we doing here exactly?"

"I have to see the Oracle, apparently there is a prophecy I need to be informed of." Matt answered.

"Oh, is it about you mum?" Zea questions.

"Yes it is... Spectra!" Matt says sticking his tounge out at her. They both start laughing.

"If you wind up going on a quest, I hope I don't lose my little Lync." Zea says jokingly, because she KNOWS that he won't fall in battle.

"Trust me, I won't lose..... not to anyone, no matter what." Matt says. (I'll explain this in Chapter 17)

"I know, you're strong, you're smart..... unless a monster uses algebra against you, and you're not a quitter.... even with fatal injuries." Zea points out. "Anyways, let's get to it." Matt and Zea go to the Oracle and are ready to hear the prophecy.

"Hello Matthew Donato, and you too Zea Bonnano." The Oracle greets.

"Hello to you as well, Oracle." Matt and Zea greet back.

"I'm just going to cut to the chase, and tell you the prophecy...... the non-rhyming one, of course," the Oracle begins, "You must go to a familiar place, somewhere up north, you must bring your friends, including Rosario, you will see two familiar faces, and as you already know, you have one week. Finally one person in your group, will make the ultimate sacrifice, and before you ask, I do not know who will make it." the Oracle finishes.

"Wow, ok. I think I know what that 'familiar' place is," Matt points out, "I'm not to sure who the familiar faces might be."

"Where is the 'familiar' place?" Zea asks.

"I'll tell you during lunch," Matt tells Zea, then turns to the Oracle and says, "Goodbye Oracle, see you soon."

"Goodbye Matthew and Zea." the Oracle replies back. As Matt and Zea walk out of the Oracle's place, they see Danny, Hannah, Taika, Ian, and even Clarisse waiting for them.

"What is this? The welcoming committee?" Zea asks. Everyone chuckles except Clarisse (of course)

"No, we just thought this would be a good time to meet up before lunch, and maybe you can tell us a little bit about you and Clarisse." Taika explains. Matt starts to blush and Clarisse comes over to give him a hug.

"Alrighty then, um, let's go to my cabin..... the Hestia cabin, I can cook something up!" Matt suggests.

"YAAAAS! COOK FOR US SEASIDE HOUSEWIFE!!!!" Everyone yells, the group heads towards the Hestia cabin and they start to get some food ready. Everyone except Clarisse is in awe at the sight of his 'cabin' (which is really like a house)

"So, how do you guys like the place?" Matt asks everyone.

"Oh my god! I freaking love it! I love how they allowed you to have a Wii U, an Xbox 1, and all these electronics!" Zea yells,

"I love the fact that he has a ton of seafood, Italian food, and a lot more." Danny says with a mouthful of shrimp.

"Well duh, he is Italian and he is the son of the God of the Sea," Taika points out, "I also like the amount of hair products he has."

"How else is he suppose to keep in touch with his Jersey self?" Hannah says, "Besides, if he need help, I can give him the Joey Graceffa look."

"Oh god." Matt says, "Oh by the way, I'm actually not allowed to have this stuff here, Selena always pulls a blind eye when she inspects her, because I bribe her with food."

"Haha!! That's mah boy!" Clarisse says. Everyone laughs except Danny cause he's to busy kicking Hannah's ass in Super Smash Bros..

"Alright, I have an announcement to make!" Matt yells, getting everyone's attention. "So tomorrow, we are ALL leaving for a quest to save Hestia, so we have a choice; either we stay up all night for a pre-quest party OR the lamer choice, and get some rest so we are at 'top' strength for the quest!" Matt finishes, everyone exchanges looks and decides to party.

"Alright! Time for some gaming tournaments and food!!!" Matt yells. Everyone cheers.

"Oh, I hope no one minds that I brought this?" Danny says taking out a package of booze out of his bag.

"Really?" Taika says, "WHY WOULD WE MIND!" she finishes taking the first can. For the rest of the night they partied like rock stars, played video games drunk, and had food.
