Chapter 16: The Deadly Seven

"Hey Danny, you ok?" Ian ask making sure Danny doesn't have any major injuries. "Urg, I'm fine," Danny says struggling to sit up. "Look, you're injuries aren't severe, just relax for the time being." Ian instructs Danny, who doesn't want to listen. Ian gets up and goes to the living room to sit down. "How's he doing Dr. Bitch?" Taika giggles trying to not make things completely serious. "Well, he has only sustained minor injuries, he should be fine by dinner." He replies. "I don't understand why Matt totally snapped like that." Zea wonders. Taika begins to think, "Maybe we DON'T know as much as we thought about him." "That's true, I do understand that this is where he used to live and these are all his old friends, but the attitude is shocking to say the least." Rosario steps into the room and enlightens them, "Oh, nobody from the beach told you?" he asks. "About what?" Hannah questions, "Obviously about how Matt has been acting, he was a part of an elite group of Half Bloods called the "Deadly Seven" when he lived here, it completely changed him, everyone wanted him to leave them, but there was no getting through to him. We warned him that someone close to him would get hurt if he kept acting like he was.... sadly, he learned, not in the good way though. He wound up destroying most of school after being filled up with rage." Rosario explains, everyone exchange grim looks, "What happened?" Zea asks, worried about Matt's past. "The "Deadly Seven" don't take to kindly to people leaving their group, and since Matt was the weakest of the group, he couldn't fight his way out, he had to sneak out of the state. But, they heard about his plan, and they put several of his friends in the hospital, and one of them was even in a life or death situation. This filled Matt up with rage, and the next day he went on a rampage after crossing paths with the group. Which is when he used his incantation for the first time, most the school was wrecked, after that, he was off the radar, no one could track him down." He finishes, gives a mix of shock looks to smiles, "Well at least he's away from that group now, right?" Hannah asks, Rosario doesn't reply, Taika gets worried and asks, "Are they..... after him?" Rosario continues to be silent, until Hannah gives him her puppy dog eyes, "Yes, they will do everything in their power to kill him. Having this party was risky, they could have been there." "Why? Why are they doing this?" Zea says clutching her fist. "They are basically the discipline squad, they go after people who disturb the peace, and after the incident Matt caused, he became a target, not to mention he abandoned them." He says, worries that they might get out of hand. Instead of getting pissed, they all head outside.

"I'm fucking pissed, not at Matt for not telling us, I get why he didn't, but that they want to kill him! Not on my watch, I'm calling Clarisse!" Taika yells fury and rage in her voice. Everyone gives her a shocked look, "Wait, you're being serious?" Ian inquires. "OF COURSE I AM!" she replies. "I'm calling her right now!" She dials up Clarisse, "Hello?" "Hey Clarisse, its a quest emergency, you need to get to Jersey ASAP!" "Be right there!" A half an hour later, Clarisse arrives.... on a chariot. "What's wrong!?" She questions. "Have you heard of the 'Deadly Seven'?" Taika asks her. "Oh my gods, what the hell happened?" "They're after Matt!" Zea jumps in, "What? Why?" Clarisse questions worried, "Matt was actually part of them, he ditched them, after he caused a rampage at his old school." Ian explains, "I heard this story, I never knew they were involved." Clarisse panics, "Where's Matt now?" "In his room watching anime, he's trying to cool off, he and Danny got into a fight, Matt used his claws," Taika explains what happened before. "Damn, that probably got their attention, they have eyes everywhere." "What do we do?" Taika asks. "Whenever someone comes over, ask for their name, after you hear it, ask Matt if he knows them, if he gets tense, its them or an ex." Clarisse suggests, "That's it?" Ian asks, "Yes, remember, protecting Matt is your number one priority now!" Clarisse tells them all, "Do you understand?" "Yes!" They all say.
