Ruby POV

Ruby and Maks have agreed to meet up at the entrance of the school to go into town and buy somethings. When Ruby told her teammates of the trip she was continuously teased by her friends and sister about how it's like a date.

Ruby: It's not a date! We're just two adults putting aside our schedules to meet up and have some private time together.

Blake: That sounds like the definition of a date.

Yang: I'm so jealous my little sister was able to get with a man before me, she's gonna have to keep an eye on him or I might just take that hunk.

Yang nudged her little sister as her face turned into a tomato and she hid her face in her cape.

Yang: When are you supposed to meet him anyways.

Ruby muffled: Twelve o'clock this afternoon.

Weiss: It's twelve-thirty.

Ruby: Whaaaaat! Ahhhhhh!

Ruby burst out of the team's dorm room and semblances throughout the hallways knocking down everything in her path.

Maks POV 

Maks: .....Did I really just get stood up?

Maks sits on a bench and relaxes in the quietness and the birds chirping. He even holds out two fingers and a little bird lands on them.

*Ground Shaking*

The bird takes off into the sky sensing a sudden danger.

Maks: Hmm?

The noise gets louder every second and soon the source comes into vision.

Ruby: Ahhhhhhhhhh

Maks: Rub- OOOF.

Ruby slams into Maks and tips over the entire bench he was sitting on, almost knocking him out.

Ruby: Maks! I'm super sorry I'm late!

Maks: My back.

Ruby with some effort help him up and he stretched his back.

*crack*

Maks: I think you ticked off a few years on my life span.

Ruby: I'm sorry!

Maks: Naa it's ok. Let's get into the next Bullhead and fly to town.

Ruby and Maks went into a Bullhead that was scheduled to make a trip to Vale. While both were waiting to arrive Ruby wanted to ask a few questions to Maks.

Ruby: Maks I was wondering. Where do you come from, I've never heard that one language you spoke before?

Maks obviously couldn't tell her he's a dimension traveler or she would freak out.

Maks: I come from a village far far away. As for the language, it's just a traditional thing we had to learn when we're kids.

Ruby: Cool! How do you say "your jokes suck" in this language?

Maks: Tvoi shutki otstoy.

Ruby grabs her scroll and calls yang.

Yang: Whats up Roobs hows ya date going?

Ruby: Tvooi shutkii astoy!

Yang: Huh?

Ruby hangs up on the confused blonde and starts laughing, Maks from watching starts to laugh too. Ruby wipes tears from her eyes and decides to ask him another question.
