Becoming a Student

Maks POV

Maks is in a very tricky predicament. He has awoken strapped into his bed with an angry blonde looking at him and a grey-haired hipster also staring at him.

Ozpin: Ah hello, I see you have woken up from your nap. Allow me to introduce myself and my associate. My name is Ozpin, I am the headmaster to the famous hunter/huntress training school called beacon located in Vale. My associate's name is Glynda Goodwitch and she helps me do my job and is a training combat instructor in the past said school.

Maks: Goodwitch? Ohhhh we're using our fake hero names. Hi my name is Tachanka

Glynda stares angrily at Maks.

Ozpin: Well you see, a team of my students was sent to go investigate a weird detection of energy out in Emerald Forest. When they arrived there they said they found you passed out on the ground after killing a never before seen Grimm. Could you elaborate?

Maks didn't want to get into any government drama in this country so he tried to bluff his way out.

Maks: I was just looking for a lost friend in the forest, he wandered out of our small town and when I went to look for him I ran into a Grimm and killed it. Can I go now?

Ozpin: Hmhmm What's the name of this town?

Maks: 'Shit'

Maks: Windhelm.

Glynda pulls out what looks like a phone and quickly types some things into it.

Glynda: Interesting, There are no towns within 50,000 miles named that.

Maks: Never said the town was close here.

Ozpin: When you were found you were wearing very strange foreign clothing and a helmet. 

Maks: Towns traditional clothing.

Ozpin: One of the huntresses reported that you were using a massive gun to fight the Grimm. If you came from a "small" town then how do you have a weapon like this?

Maks: It was passed down from my father to me, including the helmet.

Ozpin Could read plenty of lies off him but not that part. He decided to put the final nail in the coffin to tell where he came from.

Ozpin: Can you remember how many kinds of dust there are.

Maks: Ummm well there's dust under the couch, then there's dust from the ground th-

Glynda: Don't waste our time. Who do you work for, Whitefang? Atlas!

Maks: 'Shit, they both sound evil.'

Maks: I work for me, myself and I. I'm very sure I haven't broken any laws and I was put here without my permission.

Ozpin: No you haven't broken any laws but you are a suspect in a case. Like I said we detected a large burst of energy and we found you at its source. You could be accused of being a terrorist and be put in jail. Now could you tell us the truth about you and what happened in that forest?

Maks felt defeated but he continued on with his ruse and doubled down. He restated that he was wandering around looking for someone in the woods but after wandering into a strange area he was then attacked by a Pale woman that called herself Salem.

The moment Maks said her name Glynda gained a sour face and Ozpin frowned.

*sips mug*

Ozpin: Do you have any idea why this Salem would attack you?

Maks: Nope, Just your normal iconic villain stuff. Your strong so you better join me or ima eat your soul raaaa. You know, the usual.

Ozpin: Could you tell us your name, sir.

Maks: Well you're probably just gonna harass me if I don't so ok. My name is Maks Senaviev not a pleaser to be here.

Ozpin: Do you have anywhere to go right now? It sounds like your home is very far away.

Maks: I can manage myself.

Ozpin: Hmm lets just cut to the chase then. From the reports of you fighting a new species of Grimm and winning I think you would do excellent in my school. If you join you will receive living dorms and get paid for completing missions assigned to you. 

Glynda: Why are you inviting him! He could be a spy for all we know and dangerous to the students.

Ozpin: Hush now, put some faith in me.

Maks was gonna immediately gonna say no until he heard his fathers voice in his head reminding him to save this world.

Maks: *exhale* Fine I'll join your school.

Ozpin: Excellent, I'll call in a Bullhead to pick us up soon after you get some time to dress. But I must tell you some rules. You are not to fight with other students unless it's in a match, no bullying, disrespecting teachers and you must stick to your class schedule. Since your new you will need to take a test to prove your qualifications. I definitely know you qualify but it must be shown to all the others. Once we get there I'll introduce you then we will move on to the test.

Maks: Is it too late to back out?

Ozpin: Not unless your planning to go to court without a lawyer when those two bodyguards file their lawsuits against you because you threw them into walls and stuff. Assault here can result in an instant 20,000 lien fine with 4 years in prison without bail.

Maks: HaPpY to work for you!

Both Maks and Ozpin shake hands.
