Chapter 7

The camp demigods were running towards the front to protect the boarders of the camp. All the demigods 13 and under were sent away towards the the Big House for protection. They had no place in a war like this. They were too young to die.

His pajamas transformed into full battle gear. He mentally groaned. What a nice way to start a day- an attack. And he hadn't even eaten breakfast yet.

Shadow disappeared and reappeared on the boarders of Camp Olympus where a Titan stood tall with an army of only about a hundred monsters. None of the monsters were specifically very powerful but none of them were very weak neither. There was only one Titan in sight, Hyperion, and no giants.

Because of all the wars that Shadow had participated in, he could easily pin-point a common strategy. It didn't necessarily mean that it was a bad strategy, just commonly used. At least used enough times to be able to pin-point easily. But on the other hand, he was a couple centuries old and was a legend in the battlefield. This wasn't really a topic worth dwelling on.

And this attack wasn't any different. It wasn't an attack aimed to strike great damage, but an attack to strike tire into their bones. After this, he didn't doubt a much larger, much more powerful, battle would take place. And the demigods would be exhausted. They would be too tired to be able to fight at their best.

However, Gaea and Kronos  hadn't seen the flaw in their plan- the Void Squad. They were used to this kind of stuff on a daily basis. It wouldn't tire them out much.

"Surrender, and your lives shall be spared," the strong voice of Hyperion caused him to snap out of his thoughts. "Join Gaea and Kronos and your life shall be spared. You will be spared."

"We will never join you! We will send all of you back to Tartarus! And this time, you will stay," Jason Grace spoke up for the the demigods.

"Jason Grace, son of Jupiter," Hyperion drawled, "I remember you - you and that cursed son of Poseidon."

A cold, dark laugh left the titan's lips. "You can't defeat me without that damned son of Poseidon. You need him, but you don't have him," Hyperion laughed once again.

"We have him!" the laughter continued on, strengthening with every second. "He joined Gaea and Kronos. That's why he isn't in the Underworld! That's why he hasn't gone through judgment and Hades yet! And why did he join us? Because you drove him away from! You kicked him out of your camp."

"YOU'RE LYING! Percy wouldn't do that. Percy would never join something that he helped destroy," Jason Grace protested.

"He would for revenge," Hyperion reassured the son of Jupiter. "Do you really think that Gaea would have gained enough power to come back without the help of Jackson? Do you really think that the monsters could've brought us back on their own? No. Jackson is behind all this! And for the rising, he has already decided to sacrifice himself just so Kronos, the Giants, and Gaea can all rise. He will defiantly be powerful enough."

"SHUT UP! YOU'RE LYING! We all know you're lying!" Jason yelled though Shadow could clearly see that he was close to tears. Most of the Immortals were. He could see a tear run down Hazel's face that was quickly wiped away.

He guessed it wasn't really a very happy moment when your told that the guy you betrayed and threw away like yesterday's trash was still alive. It was worth shedding tears apparently.

Where did they think he was and why were they surprised by this? Shadow was positive that if Chaos hadn't adopted him, he would've most likely taken a path similar to this or worse than this. What did they think? That he wouldn't have wanted revenge after all that they had done to him? He still hated their guts and wasn't anywhere near forgiving them centuries later. Honestly, what did these idiots expect!
