He woke up at a decent time the next morning and tried to keep his thoughts on anything but Order. It didn't work though and his thoughts constantly strayed to the topic of Order and the first Dark War.
Hopefully, the day would be spent without any drama. It would go normally and the demigods wouldn't be so put down by the extra practice they were going to have to go through. Hopefully, no annoying girl who didn't know when to shut up or a curious girl who just had to know everything would attack him today.
He decided that the day would be spent helping train the demigods and Void Soldiers alike. Gold and Ice had already gathered up everyone when he got there. The demigods were chatting loudly among themselves while the Void soldiers were silently standing there looking at the two commanders with calculating eyes.
The chatting immediately went down when he was in plain sight. Gold and Ice turned around to face his and gave him questioning looks. They had every right, though. He wasn't exactly know for being sociable in the Chaos Army.
"What are you doing here?" Ice asked.
He sneered at her. As if he needed to explain himself to her.
"Dealing with training the demigods and your soldiers, just like you," he said.
She just nodded, not missing the icy edge on his voice. Next to her, Gold turned around to face the campers and soldiers who were quite now.
"Okay, you will be split into three groups based on you levels in fighting. We will be training you. I know that you campers already have to train everyday and this won't be any different except much harder and yes, the immortals will be involved in this," Gold said.
That immediately caused the campers to whisper and some of them to loudly claim that they didn't need training, namely the immortals.
"Save you questions and comments for later!" Ice yelled over the crowd, silencing them.
"The Void soldiers and all the other soldiers in the Chaos Army have been ordered by Lord Chaos to be trained, effective immediately. Lord Chaos does not need to have a reason for this new command and he doesn't. It doesn't matter, you will all be trained. However, we are luckier the rest of the Chaos Army soldiers and squads. We will have the son of Lord Chaos to help train us, Shadow. There will be no objections about which group you will be placed in - Shadow, Ice, or me," Gold explained.
Gold and Ice split the campers into two groups. The better at fighting ones that were here longer were on Gold's group while the new comers were on Ice's group. The immortals and the Void soldiers went to Shadow's group.
He started them off easily; they only had to do five laps around the whole camp as a warm up. Of course, he didn't expect the immortals to be so unfit. The Void soldiers were all done in less than twenty-five minutes while it took the campers at least an hour. The first one to finish was Jason Grace, son of Jupiter at 1 hour and 4 minutes.
The immortals were breathing hard and sweating buckets when they all finished. They were gasping for air and looked ready to collapse. He sighed mentally. This would be much harder than he anticipated. These immortals wouldn't last a day in Chaos Army training. He noticed that the Void soldiers were also thinking along the same lines.
"We'll deal with archery until lunch and we might have to carry that to a little after lunch. Then, we'll do sword practice and we'll see if we can finish off with that before supper," Shadow explained.
Archery turned out to be horrendous. It turned out that many of the immortals only specialized in one particular weapon. This surprised the Void soldiers like nothing else. They had been thought to specialize in at least two ways weapons in case of an emergency. They had actually been taught how dangerous it was to specialize in only one weapon, unlike the immortals.
