"Hey, are you okay? You need to wake up." A deep, vague voice says. I slowly open my eyes. "Who.. who are you?"

"Alex and that doesn't matter right now. You passed out. Why? Do you take medication or something?" He asks.

"What? No! I don't." "Then why did you pass out?" "I.. I got a disturbing call. I need to get to the hospital."

"Oh damn, that's rough. Can I offer you a ride?" He calmly says. I nod a little. "That'd be nice.."

I normally never accept these things from strangers, but I don't think I can go to the hospital without passing out again. He's my only option.

He helped me get up and I quickly got my things. "My car is over there," he pointed at a direction, but I didn't pay attention. All I know, is that I need to get to Samuel and stop freaking out, "so let's go, alright?" I simply nod.

He takes me to his car and I get it, he sits behind the wheel. "Which hospital?"

"Uh.. I don't fucking know, I passed out during the call." I'm annoyed because of me passing out, I'm freaking out because Samuel, literally the only person that makes me smile, is in the fucking hospital.

He chuckles a little. "It's not funny." I say.

I look out of the window. Everything sucks.

Once we arrive Alex helps me get out of the car and he gives me my things. I just ignore him and rush to the building. I don't want to deal with the stranger I met today, the stranger that brought me to the hospital in his car. God.. I'm such an idiot for going with a stranger..

Anyway..

Samuel! This is about Samuel.

What happened in that accident? Is he hurt badly? How's he doing?

I rush to the reception. I'm out of breath, from the stress. I probably look like crap, since the lady behind the dest looks at me with confusion in her eyes.

"Hello, how can I help you?" She says with a forced smile on her face.

"Samuel. I need to see Samuel!" I say, half panicking.

"Samuel who?" She asks.

"Elisabeth?" A lady's voice says behind me. I immediately turn around and see his mother. She looks beautiful, but the look in her eyes is just so scary.

She walks to me and hugs me tightly. She whispers. "I'm glad you came." I nod a little and hug her back, she needs it. "I had to, where's Samuel? Is he okay?"

"Oh Elisabeth.." She starts sobbing. "It was so terrible.. It was horrifying.. When I got the call from the hospital, I just dropped everything to see him.. Now, his face is not what you're used to, he's hurt, but the doctors say he'll be okay."

My heart stopped beating for a second. He's not okay.. This is so unfair!

"Would you like to see him?" She asks, she knows I won't ask, I just can't get it out of me. I nod slowly.

She takes my hand and takes me to the third floor, the left hallway and then the forth door. We both stand at that place.

I take a deep breath. "Don't be scared, dear, he's still Samuel, he's just physically damaged." Her voice cracked while saying her son wasn't perfectly fine now. I simple nod, with a lump in my throat, so I clear my throat to stay calm.

She nods. "I'm gonna go check on my husband." Now I nod again, she leaves me in an empty hallway, except for my presence.

I open the door with closed eyes, I'm scared. I take small steps into the door, the door automatically closes behind me. I slowly open my eyes and there he is.
