2. Salt Lake City, here I come!

The next morning I wake up to the smell of pancakes being made and a lot of footsteps. It was only 11:45 and the footsteps were getting closer and closer. Then the door swings open making a loud thud sound. It made me jump off my bed, like a cat trying to get away from water. (That actually happened once with my cat. We tried taking her a bath cuz we thought she liked water, research says that only some cats like water, I thought my cat was one of them and she literally jumped like crazy or like if she has seen a ghost. I felt bad... Very very bad.)

"Oh my fucking god, LUNA!!!" I screamed in fear and also out of breath. Now my whole body hurts as fuck.

"Oops sorry. I was going to call you down for breakfast because mama said so." She said, trying to hold in her laugh. I was still on the floor.

"I'll be there in just a minute." I say finally getting up.

"Remember we leave today so inform your friends. Wait you have friends right?" She asks sarcastically. I roll my eyes at her.

"Yes, I might not be as popular as you but I do have friends. Anyway Camila, Jacob and Joey have been my friends since childhood. They come here almost everyday just to see me." I grab my hair brush and quickly brush my hair to get all the tangles out.

"Well, hurry up or the pancakes will get cold." She then leaves and closes the door behind her. I sigh and look outside my window. I sure am going to miss it here. I put my brush down and exit out my room and go to the kitchen.

"Morning Natalia." Says my mom, she's at the sink washing dishes. I take a seat at the dining table.

"Hey ma. I'm surprised you have pots, dishes, cups and pans still out and washing them last minute." Taking a bite from my pancake Luna put in front of me.

"Please don't eat with your mouth open. It's gross." My mom says very disgusted.

"Hey, how come you didn't tell me the reason on why we are moving to Salt Lake City?" I ask. Neither Luna or my Mom had to me why we are moving. My mom and Luna share a very blank expression on their faces.

"Ma? Do we tell her?" I hear Luna whisper to my mom.

My mom then shakes her head in disapproval and I can hear her whisper. "No maybe we shouldn't."

"Shouldn't what? Tell me!" I said standing up from the table. She wipes her hands with a cloth and comes to me.

"Natalia, listen to me. Don't worry about it." She says softly, her voice shaking.

"No, tell me now! What's the real reason we are moving?" I ask one more time before I can even lose my temper. I was getting very irritated.

"Okay. Just don't worry too much about it. And please don't get scared." She continues talking to me in a softly manner. She let's out a sigh and starts talking. "Your Dad... He has finally found out where we live. And he has also threatened to take you and Luna away from me. So we have to move far away as possible."

I stand there, in shock. No. Not him. He's going to try to take us from mom, he's going to ruin everything again. No not again please. I look at Luna, she just stared down at her feet. I take a deep breath and exhale.

"It'll be okay ma. He won't take us away from you, we won't let him." I take my mom's hand and I look at Luna and signaled her to come with us and we three hug for what felt like 2 minutes. We finally let go and I tell my mom if I can go next door to Cami's so I can say my goodbyes to her.

I knock the door and stand there on the porch of the house. Then someone opened the door. Only to see Jacob with no shirt on showing his abs, I try hard not to look. I clear my throat and talk.
