9. Homesick pt. 1

"Wake up!!!" Yells Luna in my ear. I jump up and look at her in annoyance. It's Saturday morning, it has been a few days since mama told us about Rob and that brat Claire. I am just too tired today and not to mention lazy. I don't feel like even doing anything. I furrowed my eyebrows at her and slap her hand playfully.

"You fucking bitch! Let me sleep!!!" I cover myself with my blanket and try to go back to sleep. Obviously Luna groans and pulls the blanket off my face.

"You're so boring. I was going to take you to a near by diner because Cole invited me." She says. I hear her get up and I immediately got out of bed.

"Fine. But I'm only doing it for the free food." I say. She jumps up and down and starts clapping her hands. I roll my eyes and went to the bathroom and changed into a Babe Ruth Jersey, jean shorts, and my black converse. I go into the boxes that are in my closet. I opened it and grabbed the pocket charm Joey gave me before I left. I also found my old, Polaroid camera that I haven't used since I got here. I smiled and got up, I closed the closet door and went to the mirror.

"This would make a cute necklace. Or a bracelet. Luna what should I make it into?" I asked her. She was on my bed, on the phone with Cole. Jesus Christ when did I give her permission to use my telephone. She was twirling the phone cord with her finger and then looked at me.

"Maybe it would look cute as a necklace." She says and goes back to talking on the phone with Cole. I roll my eyes and go into my jewelry box. I found a gold necklace, that had no charm on it yet. My smile grew and I took it out of the box. I grabbed the charm and put it in a loose chain. I finally inserted the cute, gold, heart shaped charm on the chain. I put the gold necklace on my neck and turn around to ask Luna for her opinion.

"So, what ya think?" I asked. She's finally off the phone and she looks up to me with a huge smile on her beautifully tanned face.

"It's so cute! That's the charm Joey gave you right after we left, right?" She asks looking at the charm. A smile appears on my lips and I nod.

"Yeah it is. I'm glad I have made it into a necklace, now I can cherish it forever." I say. I start to tear up a little and Luna notices. She pulls me into a hug and brushes my hair with her fingers.

"I know, I know, I miss home too. I really do but we had to move or else he would have found us and taken us away from mama. We don't want that to happen, ever." She says, still brushing her fingers through my hair.

I wipe the tears and pull off a fake but not too forced smile. "No we don't. I just miss them so much. They are like family to me." I say and she smiles.

"They have been there for you since forever. Trust me, they miss you too. You know what would be a great idea?" She looks at me and I shrug. "Maybe later on, if you remember, you can call Camila and tell her how you feeland about the new friends you have made. I bet she would sure love that!"

I smile at the thought of hearing Camila's sweet and soft, yet sometimes loud and scratchy, voice. I nod and we then hear a car beeping outside. Luna and I both look at each other.

At the same time, we both say, "Cole's here."

We went walking downstairs and see my mom watch TV. Tearing her eyes off the television, she turns her head to see us.

"Ma, we are goin to the diner with Cole. I'm taking Nati with me." Luna says, grabbing her purple purse from the counter.

"Okay sweetie. I love you both and be careful. Natalia, take care of Luna." Luna's jaw dropped and I can hear my mom laugh. I laugh along with her and nod. "Bye girls!"

"Bye mama!" We both say and exit the house.

We hear the car door close, revealing Cole in a blue bomber jacket, dark navy blue jeans and a white shirt under his jacket. His hair is now combed to the side, leaving a small, swirled, piece of hair loose. Luna goes running to him and gives him a hug and he hugs back. They then pull away and he looks at me.

"Hey, Natalia right?" He asks and I nod in response. He smiles, "I see you're a baseball fan" He says.

"Well duh. I also play baseball with my friends. Baseball is practically my whole life." I say, trying to hide my frown by smiling. He laughs and looks at my jersey.

"Babe Ruth rocks. He's amazing, one of the best baseball players that has ever lived." He says. I agree, some say that the babe might not even be human. He's done some amazing things when it comes to baseball, you just can't beat him.

"Yeah be sure is... But like can we cut the chit chat, I'm starving." Luna mocks. He chuckles and I just roll my eyes.

"Yeah we will get going. Kid, I'm going to take you to one of the best diners ever! Well that is, in my opinion, I just hope it isn't packed today since it is Saturday." He says and looks at Luna.

"Then let's get in the car, or we won't be able to find anywhere to sit because you keep talking, preppy." I say and his eyebrows go flying up. Luna starts laughing and so does Cole. He comes up to me and ruffles my hair. I playfully slap his hand off my head and we go to his car. It was a dark blue mustang and the seats are a black leather. When we got in the car Luna and Cole start talking about whatever nonsense they were chatting about. I just looked out the window, wondering how Camila, Joey and Jacob are doing. I then remembered the scrapbook Cami gave me before I left. I should start putting pictures in there, good thing I have found my Polaroid camera in one of the boxes. I'm just hoping it still works. I take a hold onto the, now, necklace that holds the charm. Wondering off into space, I was drifting off, leaving reality.

Short... I know and I can explain... This is going to be part one of two because... I'm lazy and I have to post something. I can't think of a by the at the moment and yeah. HaPpY eAsTeR everyone because why not. Okay so yeah I haven't uploaded in a month I know, I'm awful. But hey you guys are amazing, thank you for 600+ reads on this. It means a lot... Literally. Like honestly I only have like what... 9 parts on this book and it's at 600+ you guys don't know how long it took my first book to 4.7k reads. It took me a long time and at the time when that book had 9 parts it only had about 100 something reads. So... Yeah. Peace Out and Stay Gold ✌❤🍒
