7. Flirting and Surprises

"Okay so I'll see you guys tomorrow." Says smalls and waves. Benny and I wave back at him and say 'bye' as he then soon disappears into his house. Benny and I carry on a conversation that had to do with todays game.

"It was cool how hard you hit the ball Natalia. You sure do have a hard hit for a girl." He nudges me with his elbow and starts to chuckle. I gently push him and cross my arms. I just don't like it when people call me girly or are like "oh wow, I've never seen a girl play ball before." Like, yeah I am female and it sure does have its good things about it but there are stuff that annoy me when it comes to it. I just don't see myself as a girly at all.

"Shut up Rodriguez. Anyway you did good today too. That is... For a boy." I start laughing and walk a little faster. Benny catches up with me.

"That..." He pauses and looks at me and chuckles to himself.

"What? Finish what you were about to say." I say and uncross my arms. He looks away and continues chuckling. "What's so funny Rodriguez?"

"Oh it's nothing..." He looks at me and he just gives me a warm smile.

"Is it that I hit harder than you." I whisper to myself. His face, now, turned to confusion.

"What?"

"What what?" I reply back. It was silent but then the silence turned into a whole bit of laughter.

"You play too much." Benny comments. I place my hand where my heart is and give him a hurt expression.

"Something you don't do in the field." I say with a mischievous smile. His eyes go wide and he just shakes his head.

"You sure do have a way with words Natalia. But you are forgetting one thing." He looks at me then out to the sidewalk.

I raise an eyebrow and question, "and that is?"

"That I'm Benny the jet... Last one at your place is a rotten egg!" He starts running, leaving me behind. I throw my hands up in the air and roll my eyes.

"NATALIA!!! YOU'RE TAKING SO LONG!!!"

I was just finished rinsing off the shampoo from my hair. Luna just has the guts to rush me. She knows that I take literally an hour taking a shower.

Rolling my eyes, I yell back. "BE PATIENT YOU BITCH!"

"NATALIA! LANGUAGE!" Yells my mom. Oops, she wasn't supposed to hear that. I hear Luna laughing like a wild hyena. Her laugh gave me chills down my spine.

"AT LEAST I DON'T LAUGH LIKE A FUCKING HYENA!!!" I hear Luna gasp loudly and my mom then yells back, once again.

"LANGUAGE!!! PINCHE NATALIA!!!" Oh my... She just-I get out of the shower and turn off the water. I then wrapped a towel around my wet body and opened the door to see my black, silky, dress I picked out there on my bed. I wanted to wear a normal shirt and jeans but my mom obviously disapproved with that. I also have to wear heels which is weird because I don't own any. But when you have a very girly teenage sister you'll find what you need in there. She has heels, dresses, skirts, crop tops in all sizes. I asked her if I can borrow them but instead she just gave them to me. It was very nice of her but I think I'm never going to wear these other than tonight.

I put on the beautiful black dress and the high heels. I look at myself in the mirror and frown.

"Something is missing..." I say to myself. I then look up at my hair, that's it! I rush to the bathroom and open up the scrunchy box. I obviously need it to match my outfit so I tried finding the black scrunchy. It took me a while, but it was all the way at the bottom. I put my hair in a cute little ponytail that goes all the way up to my head. I, once again, look at myself in the mirror and frown. That wasn't it... Maybe it's just because this dress makes me look so fat. I knew I should stop eating junk food and meat. I sigh loudly and I hear a knock on the door. I'm so surprised that Luna finally learned how to knock and she didn't have to bust open the god damn door like always. I go out to my room to see Benny standing there, with my bat in his hand. He stares at me for quite some time and I just felt my face get warm. I laugh awkwardly.
