8. Boyfriend?!

I slammed my hands on the table, which made my mom and Luna flinch. Claire had no expression at all and Rob was hold my mom close to her.

"Natalia what did I say." She says, her voice raspy. My eyes soften and I just look at the man and his daughter. I shake my head and just look at my mom in confusion. Luna comes behind me and puts her hand on my shoulder.

"Ma... You need to explain all, of" She pauses and points, at the people my mom has mentioned earlier, Rob and Claire, "this." My mom looks at him and Rob tries his best to look patient.

"Natalia right?" He says looking at me. I give him a nah Sherlock look and he just smiles and looks at Luna and then back at me. "I know you are confused but all this confusion will clear up."

"Sorry, sir, but I was talking to my mother who has to clear all this and needs to explain herself, not you." I say in the most disrespectful way. My mom glares at me and I just cross my arms.

She takes a breath in and out. She gathers Luna and I, "Natalia, Luna, I hadn't told you this and I think it's time" She says Luna's face was blank but oh boy, if you guys could only see my face.

"Tell us mama, it's okay." Luna says in the most calmest of voice. She reaches for my mom's hand and holds it. She nods and let's go of Luna's hand and goes to Rob. He hugs her, head on his shoulder, tight but not too tight and Claire just stands there not really wanting to be here at the moment. She just pulls off a smile and looks at her dad. We all sat down at the table and I just noticed that the food Luna and I ordered already arrived.

"Girls, Rob and I have meet a long time ago. We were friends back in high school but this was after I have became friends with Aurora." She says. I could imagine all of this. My mom being a normal teenage girl, independent and strong. Later on becoming friends with the school's most prettiest girl in school. Always going to parties and talking about boys and sharing their most darkest secrets to each other. Having sleepovers on Saturday nights and talking about their dreams. Later on comes a new face in their lives. One of the hottest jocks in the whole entire school. They start talking and it all becomes a love triangle. Aurora having a huge crush on Rob and him having a crush on my mom. Mom, being independent, didn't need a man. What she needed was time to get to know him better than just 2 months. Maybe he had dated Aurora but didn't last and when they graduated he had promise to keep in contact and one day get together with her. I had barely heard her because I had imagined the whole thing already. Rob smiles at mami and looks at Claire and then to Luna and I.

"I asked your mom out about a month ago and she finally said yes. We needed time to tell you girls about this because we know it's hard." He claims hugging Claire close to her. I take one more look at Claire and I already feel like I know what kind of person she is. 3 words that describes this girl... Daddy's spoiled princess. I roll my eyes at the thought of this and cross my arms.

"So since I remembered that Rob said he moved here to Salt Lake City, I have decided to move here after I found out about your father knowing our location." He takes her hand and kisses it. Luna looks at them in aw and Claire just has the face of, "Daddy we need to go, my very rich and snotty friends are having this have party and I need to go. Oh and can I also borrow like $100."

I take a deep breath and pretend like if I care for once and just smile, "Ma... I will always support you no matter what. I always love you and if being with Rob makes you happy, I guess I'll give it a try. Rob," I pause and smile, "If you make the same mistake my "father" Made 10 years ago I swear I will not hesitate and do something very very horrible." I say and give them the most innocent look ever. Rob laughs nervously and we all just had a good time. Except that Claire barley even talked to me until almost the end because Luna got Cole's, the waiter, number.

"Is she always like this?" She asked, stuffing some cheesecake in her mouth. I just laugh and look at Luna, who was talking to him and I just nod.

"That's Luna for ya." I say playing around with my chocolate cake right after I ate a piece of it. She stares off and looks at me.

"How about you?" She says. I look at her, confused expression crossed my face.

"What do you mean by that?" I say. I poke another chunk of chocolate cake and pop it in my mouth. She starts giggling and sips her pink lemonade.

She sets it down and looks at her plate, "what I meant was, do you have a boyfriend?" She says. I nearly almost choke on my cake and quickly grab my water and drink it. I wipe my lips and look at her. That's none of her fucking business to be honest. Just because our parents have known each other and are finally getting together doesn't mean anything. But I might as well because its too late, she had her hands up to her cheeks and I just sigh.

"Had. It's past tense." I say I could remember the last thing Jacob has said to me when we were actually dating. "I'll always love you baby. No one will make me feel the same way you make me feel. But if that day comes, and we aren't together anymore, just know that you were always my first true love." And the last words I heard from him right before I left were, "Also, never stop playing baseball. You are real good at it, very talented. I never seen a girl hit that hard." The thought made me giggle a little and I then noticed that Claire was still staring at me.

"So you don't have a boyfriend?" She still asks. Why is she so nosy, she just has to know my business like it's nothing. I faked a laugh and look at Luna, who was still talking to Cole.

"I don't. I'm too busy for that shit to be honest with you. Boys are very obnoxious and so dense and not to mention complete morons." I start laughing. She laughs along with me and she pauses.

"So do you just stay at home all day?" Sheesh she is so fucking nosy. I pick up my fork and poke the cake.

"No, I play baseball with my friends. Well they are all boys." I say. She raises an eyebrow and looks at me.

"Thought they were obnoxious and dense. Oh and jet me not forget... Morons." She says as she starts laughing.

"Well, they are but they are about 9-14 years old. And anyway who else would I play baseball with." I say. My mom and Rob are already getting up so we can leave. I get up and so does Claire, she catches up with me.

"I actually have a friend who plays baseball. He's a professional and he's really cute too." She says. I roll my eyes and just keep walking. "I can maybe introduce you to him one day."

"Yeah maybe but for now I'm fine with hanging out with my friends, they are already used to me." I get in the car with Luna, she's driving because mama was going with Rob. So Claire decided to come with us. We sit in the back seat while Luna starts the car.

The car ride was kinda silent but then Luna put some music to get the awkwardness away. Elvis Presley pops on and I just sing along to the song. We finally arrived at the house and we get out of the car. I was actually really tired and just wanted to sleep in bed already. I tell my mom that I was going off to bed now since it was actually going to be midnight. I wave at Rob and Claire, just because I was talking to that girl doesn't mean I have changed my whole image of how she actually acts. I still think she is Daddy's little spoiled brat. I finally arrived to my room and flop on my bed later on finally falling asleep.
