Wednesday Morning
"So, Clark gave me some pretty interesting news today..." Nico trailed off as we walked side by side. We were sipping on our coffees and wandering around. As soon as I woke up this morning, I had received a text from Nico asking if I wanted coffee. And an hour later he showed up to my dorm with two steaming cups, and now we were on our way to the cafeteria to get some muffins for breakfast.
I pursed my lips and widened my eyes slightly, did he know? It hadn't even been ten hours since my latest... relationship developments. "Did he?" I tried to keep my voice nonchalant.
"Oh yeah, weirdest thing. He said he thinks he has a new beauty mark under his eye. Isn't that odd? It just appeared out of nowhere?"
I quickly let out a sigh of relief, "A beauty mark?"
"Yeah! Oh and he also told me you're dating." He said it so calmly, that I immediately began to choke on my spit.
"He did?" I wheezed, my eyes slightly watering.
"Shit Blake, I thought you'd be as excited as your boyfriend." He said boyfriend in a sing song manner, shooting me a sly grin.
"I'm just not used to the idea, it only happened last night!"
"But you are happy right?" His voice sounded soft, like he was worried for Clark.
"Yeah, of course! We wouldn't be... together if I didn't! It's still a little weird though, because we went from twelve years of hate, to like two weeks of friends, to dating. I'm adjusting, but I am happy."
Nico smiled giddily, "Mint. Just so you know, Clark's very happy. Sounded like a little lovestruck schoolboy when he facetimed me last night."
My heart immediately melted at those words. "Does he really have a new beauty mark?"
Nico scoffed, "No." He opened the door to the cafeteria, "But he seems to have a little mark on his neck, I don't know where it came from. He should really get it checked out... unless you know something about it?" He innocently asked.
Immediately, my face warmed. Instead of answering him, I just lightly shoved him away from, causing him to stumble slightly.
This was going to be a hard day.
