~Jeffrey's P.O.V~

I feel awful. I don't know what to do. I can't even think straight right now.

I pick up a scented candle on the light stand and chuck it across the room smashing it into little pieces.

I can't believe how aggressive I'm being. This isn't like me. But then again... I've never been in this position before either.

I crawl into the bed and wrap myself tightly in the blanket before I can do anymore damage. After laying there staring at the shattered lamp on the floor for 30 minutes I fall into a deep sleep.

Who is texting me at this time of night? It's an unfamiliar number, but I decide to check it out anyway.

//texts\\

?- meet me at the gas station down the street rn

J- who is this?

?- just get here in the next 10 min

~back to jeffrey~

Wow that's weird. I'm terrified to go out alone at 2:00am, but I have a feeling that if I don't I'll deeply regret it. After slipping into my gray sweatshirt, I'm soon walking up the street, trembling with each step.

After 5 min of walking I finally reach my destination.

I have no idea why I'm here. I don't see anyone.

I'm about to turn around and go home, until I notice someone standing up against gas pump number 11. The figure turns to face me, and I notice hazel eyes shining in the moon light.

No way. It's Charlie.

"What do you want?"

"I wanted to check up on you. Make sure you were following the rules."

"Oh I am."

Jeffrey rolls his eyes and turns to go.

But before he can take more than two steps he's jolted backwards.

I feel myself being spun around, and then before I know it, I'm looking back into the eye of the beast.

Charlie's holding me by my sweatshirt collar and has me pinned up against the gas pump.

My face is beginning to turn cold from lack of circulation.

C- I hope you know, that im watching you. I'm watching 24/7. So don't you dare think I won't know what's happening. You can't hide anything from me. Understand?

J- I-I under-der-stand

Charlie let's go of me and I fall to the pavement. I can hear Charlie walking away, but I can't find the strength to lift myself from the hard cold ground.

When I'm back at the house, I notice that my sweatshirt is horribly ripped from Charlie's small assault.

*morning*

I'm woken up by the sound of arguing voices outside of my bedroom door.

"Wake him up."

"No you wake him up."

"Oh come on he already blew up at me yesterday. It's your turn."

I hop out of bed and open the door. The bickering immediately stops.

"Oh... Good morning."

Is that fear in Emily's voice?!

"Soo... We were wondering if you wanted to come and pick up Britney from the hospital with us?"

"Oh um"

Charlie's voice choruses through my mind, but before I can even think about his "rules" I respond with a solid "yes."

When we arrive at the hospital I hesitate before walking into Britney's room.

She's dressed and ready to go home. We make eye contact and all I want to do is hug her and never let go. But all I do is quickly direct my attention to a painting on the wall to my right.

"Alright, so you are free to go home. Just don't have too much excitement for the next 3 days or so, because your body hasn't gotten used to the donors blood yet so just take it easy alright?"

"Got it."

I've missed her voice. It's so perfect. It just flows out of her like a melody to your favorite song.

As I watch her out of the corner of my eye, I see her struggling to keep her hair out of her eyes. She looks so cute. Gently sweeping the hair back behind her ear after it escapes. The small frown forming on her lips from her frustrating overgrown bangs.

As soon as we start walking down the street Britney walks over to me. Just silently walking by my side. This is torture. I want to talk to her, and hear her cute little voice get all excited when we start to talk about her favorite band, or her favorite movie.

I can't do this. I can't be this close to her and not be able to do anything.

I slow down, hoping that she'll pass me but she also slows her pace. Ok so that didn't work.

"I missed you Jeffrey."

"Oh um, that's cool."

Did I really just say that?

"So... You didn't miss me"

I want to sweep her off her feet, carrying her bridal style while she nestles her head in the crook of my neck and carry her all the way home. Whispering in her ear how much I love and have missed her.

But all I can say is

"I guess I did. But it is was only a day and a half."

"Oh."

After the longest 5 minutes of my life, we reach the house.

~Britney's P.O.V~

I turn to go upstairs to my room. I hear light footsteps behind me, that I just know belong to Jeffrey.

I reach my bedroom, walk in, sit down, and watch Jeffrey approach the doorway.

B- so... What's up?

J- oh you know, driving fan girls crazy by simply likeing their pictures.

C- oh. Fun.

Jeffrey leans up against the door frame and let's out a huge sigh.

I stand up to walk back downstairs, but as I reach the center of the room. Something amazing happens.

~Jeffrey's P.O.V~

I run to her and hug her so tight I think I might pop her.

I can smell the strawberry shampoo in her hair that I've always loved the smell of. I try to take everything about her in, since i don't know when I'll be able to hold her in my arms again.

"I did miss you Britney. I really did"

I quickly detach myself from Britney and turn to leave.

"Jeffrey wait. Where are you going?!"

I head straight to the front door. Closing it right as Britney tries to follow me out.

A/N ok so I might do like 20 reads or 5 votes = new chapter but idk yet. Maybe
