Lance walked down the stairs pulling a bronze orange tee shirt of for work as he was wearing a pair of jeans in the early May afternoon to catch the dinner shift he promised Matt.

He grabbed some pain killers and popped them in his mouth trying to get rid of the headache and the wish to just puke it all back up. But lance swallowed the pills with no water as he made a face a little at the taste and feeling but grabbed his old and abused converse as he wanted to get to work so on the way he could tell Dani, Chloe and milo, he knew at least two of the three would be at the park.

"Hey McClain," a blond girl with four long dread locks that was put in pigtails with two in each, she had a headband as well as she walked to the fence of the small front yard that held some trash and bikes. And a baby shoe now?

"Hey Nyma," lance smirked locking his door behind him.

"Where have you been? I came over yesterday seeing if you wanted to blaze it up like high school but you where gone," Nyma pouted a little as she was wearing high waist blue jeans with a blue crop top but had a beat up leather jacket over.

"One, you only graduated last year and I'm suppose to be in school, two I was out with allura," lance walked down the six stairs down the porch to the ground.

"Busy tonight?" She smirked as she leaned forward.

"Working," he laughed awkwardly.

"Come on lance we never hang anymore, your such an adult, and you legally can't even vote," Nyma whined as lance started walking down the street to get to work.

"Sorry, I'm a mom and a dad and a big brother and a little brother, just kinda got busy being a McClain," lance walked backwards shrugging looking at her with a smirk.

"Your still a kid lance!" Nyma called frowning.

"No one is a 'kid' in this hood nyma, half of us became alcoholics at 12!" He called back and turned back walking still.

"Hey Matt," lance walked the diner as there was only ten customers as it was a slow day. Pidge was sitting at the counter writing in a note book as Matt was counting money from lunch rush.

"Hey lance, sweet you made it, how many of the pack are coming?" Matt smiled seeing his friend.

"Up to three the usual," lance walked to the back to grab his apron and wrapped it around his waist.

"And one rolls in, Hey kid," pidge saw Chloe walk in and sat at the counter next to her as Matt raised an eye brow.

"Slide me a cold one," Chloe double tapped the counter laying her head down. Matt shrugged filling a cup up with apple juice and put it in front of her with a straw.

"Thank you," she piped up sitting on her knees to reach and sipped on the juice.

"Hey baby girl, why you here early, did Dani or milo come get you?" Lance walked over kissing her head as he grabbed his pad of paper to take orders.

"No? I asked lura where you were," Chloe said confused and lance noticed her shoes were missing.

"Babes... where are your shoes?" Lance asked slowly with his hands on his hips.

"Some man by the park said he'd give me a 100 he stole from a hooker for them," Chloe told him with a soft innocent look.

"Dani always says I need to pull my weight," she put the dollar bill on the counter and pidge looked at it.

"Chloe that's a ten," pidge pursed her lips.

"Aw man... I liked those shoes," Chloe pouted a little as lance sat down trying to wrap his head around the situation.
