"Hey lance," shiro waved as the Cuban walked in with a child on his hip and one in an old stroller that was Chloe's before.

"Here's thing one and two, Allura hasn't come back yet and I have a shift to work," lance set Al on the counter as shiro took his son and ari clapped happily in the stroller as shiro waved and blew a kiss to his baby girl.

"She hasn't called back? Damn the bank really is shitting on her probably, thanks for watching the twins, I'll go put them to bed upstairs, mind if you hold down the fort for a little?" Shiro asked walked around the bar and picked up ari.

"Aye aye captain," lance winked rolling up his sleeves as he was left with the drunken old men.

"Anything good to tell gents?" Lance asked refilling a mans beer glass.

"I heard rich snobs are learning in the area," a old regular, Jonah, snorted, he wore a baseball cap over his bald head as he had a goatee and flannel.

"They never last, remember last summer?" Lance snorted leaning back crossing his arms.

"Fucking lesbians complaining about the noise on Fourth of July? I rather suck dick in prison again," Jonah scoffed annoyed as he sipped his beer.

"And that's why we love you Jonah," lance blew a kiss and the man 'caught' it and stuck his hand under his ass as other men laughed loudly.

"Your a dick," lance laughed at him.

"Takes one to know one lancey boy," Jonah cackled.

They all heard the door open and lance groaned seeing John walk in and sat in his usual seat in the middle of the bar counter.

"Lance my boy hit me with the whiskey," John gave him a thumbs up smirking.

"Where you been?" Lance asked pouring his father the liquor.

"Here and there, I know a good joint with the best drugs on the market," John laughed as lance smirked rolling his eyes.

"Not raising your kids either John, have you seen Rachel? Or heard from Luis?" Lance asked with a sigh.

"Which ones rachel?" John blinked.

"Oh dios John, don't bother, they wouldn't call you anyways," lance groaned as he grabbed a tray to grab the dirty glasses around the bar.

"Wait why would you say that? I'm the father, my kids should come to me if they're in trouble!" John gasped turning around. The men around him burst out laughing harder.

"I've had your own damn kids come to me John," Jonah bellowed a laugh holding his stomach.

"When?!" John cried out.

"Which time?" Lance snorted.

"No ones told me this bullshit," John whined.

"Why do you think I let Jonah and the guys drink free sometimes?" Lance smirked at him deviously.

"Well if you told me that I'd be the damn father of the year, whatcha need me to do?" John slapped his hand over the counter.

"Figure out Which one is Rachel and Luis and we'll talk," lance hummed as he refilled a old friends drink.

"Damn you got me there son..." John grumbled.

Lance saw Chloe walk in and jump up on the stool as she let out a tired groan.

"Slid me a cold one bartender," Chloe rapped the counter twice, lance filled up a shot glass with apple juice and slid it over to his baby sister.

"Hard day chicka?" Lance smirked.

"I didn't sell shoes but darn those dang monkey bars really give ya a pain," Chloe rolled her eyes taking the shot of apple juice and lance refilled her.

"I thought you were at hunks, you never called," lance crossed his arms over the counter leaning towards her.

"Hunk left early," Chloe pouted. "I didn't even get to know how to bake shit!"

"Language," lance warned.

"When can I swear?" Chloe pouted.

"When your as tall as me babes," lance winked.

"Dammit,"

"Chloe," lance pointed.

"Ah let the child swear, she's like what ten?" John waved him off.

"She's five John," Lance glared. "I'm raising her I get to say when she can swear, not you,"

"I helped make that cute little thing!" John cried out. "I'm her father!"

"Who's Rachel?" Lance said flatly.

"Fuck,"

"Exactly, shut it," he scoffed and Chloe giggled at her father pouting.

"You staying or waiting for V?" Lance asked. He wouldn't let Chloe go home alone after dark.

"We'll see, which ever happens first," Chloe shrugged and lance nodded as he grabbed a coloring book under the counter and slid it to her.

"Pass some time amor," he smiled and Chloe beamed brightly as she got to work on the bob the builder coloring book.

"You sure your not a dad?" Jonah smirked at the teenager.

"At this point I don't even know if I want to be, I've raised the kids, I think I'm done," lance chuckled sarcastically.

"Dammit John you ruined a perfectly good role model once again!" A older woman called out as some laughed.

"It's his job," lance called back smiling. He didn't care for the long hours at his jobs, the people made it worth it, not to many people can say they truly enjoy their jobs, rich or poor, he was able to say he could smile at work and mean it. The south side was his home, these people were a different kind of family to him.
