"So you've worked with a cash register?" Acids asked as lance stood across from her and narti.

"Yep," lance held his hands behind his back awkwardly.

"Good, How is your customer service?" Acxa continued as narti walked away with kova in her arms.

"Depends, I've worked at a bar but also cashiered last winter, I can be nice," lance smiled smugly and Axca quirked a brow.

"Why don't you work there anymore?" Axca asked.

"I quit cause shiro hired me as a bartender," lance shrugged as she wrote something's down.

"The last employee that worked here quit cause narti scared him and kova was unpleasant, it doesn't take much to run this place, you would be spending long hours here from close to open, 10 in the morning till 9, you can get a hour lunch break when you and narti are on the same shift, there will be a list for you to start on how to run, for the first two weeks you and narti will be together but after that if she feels the need that you are good on your own then you will, any questions?" Axca said without taking a breath and without breaking eye contact as lance was a little over whelmed.

"No?" Lance squeaked.

"Good, narti he's all yours, be easy on this one," Axca told her friend as lance glanced over his shoulder at her.

"Wait I put in my two weeks for Matt's, but I still have five days left," Lance blinked surprised.

"You'll have to talk to Lotor about that," she said calmly yet sternly and lance groaned in his head.

"I'll just give Matt a heads up," he sighed grabbing his phone.

"Any more questions call Lotor," Axca nodded as she left and lance pursed his lips.

"So narti, What am I doing?" Lance smiled hopeful at her. She pointed at the chair of the check out desk.

"I'm just checking out books all day?" He blinked unamused.

She slapped a folder on the desk as well but gently set a pen on top.

"Course, I shall be paid to be your bitch," lance smiled sarcastically as he sat down and she walked away. Lance sighed laying his head down but looked up seeing kova looking down at him with a flick of his tail.

"Do I have to take care of you too?" He mumbled.

"Meow,"

Lance and narti walked out of the book shop as she turned off the lights and locked the door behind them as lance looked at the time and sighed softly.

"Thanks for the opportunity narti," lance smiled at her but was suddenly thrown keys at him as narti didn't give a reaction.

"Oh cool, keys to the shop, so when do you want me to come over next?" Lance asked as he saw a black car pull up, he could see inside Lotor and he waved at the older man.

"If you just want to send me a text otherwise I'll be here at opening?" Lance shrugged as he walked backwards to Lotors car and got in.

"You didn't have to pick me up, I'm fine taking the bus," lance smiled at him softly as Lotor chuckled.

"Thought I could save you the troubles," Lotor took his hand into his own and kiss the top.

"How was the job?" He asked.

"I think I'll love it," lance leaned over kissing his cheek. "Thank you, your too good for me,"

"It's about time someone should be treating you the way you deserve it," Lotor smiled gently at him and lance giggled.

"You staying the night at my place?" Lance asked as they started driving back to the south side.

"I could, give you a ride to work, stop for coffee," Lotor shrugged agreeing.

"Narti just texted me, says I should be there when we open," lance checked his phone with a small hum.

"Hey do you have any other siblings? Cousins or aunts or uncles? Grandma?" Lance asked curiously suddenly as he turned to Lotor.

"My father and mother had no other siblings, alfor, Alluras father, he was the closest thing to an uncle I suppose or a true father figure," Lotor nodded simply and lance made a unsatisfied face.

"Brothers or sisters?" Lance asked again.

"No," Lotor shook his head and lance narrowed his eyes at him.

"Sucks, I would've really loved to meet your family," lance sighed shaking his head as he crossed his arms.
