Chapter twenty nine

Kristi's POV

It's been a week since Luke had proposed to me. The tour is ending in two weeks and then me and Luke are going home.

We decided that he would he moving into my house when we did get home.

"So what are you guys gonna do when tour is over?" I asked Taylor and Kali. We were now in my hotel room as all the boys had to leave for sound check.We decided to not go to tonight's show.

"Well One Direction is staying in America for a while." Taylor said and I nodded my head.

"So you guys are staying?" I asked and Taylor nodded her head. I smiled.

"That's great guys!" I said and they both smiled.

I looked down at my ring and smiled. I wonder what would have happened if we didn't see them during the concert.

Would I even be engaged to this wonderful man?

"Kristi, you look so happy!" Kali said and I smiled.

"That's because I am. Five months ago, I would have never pictured my life the way it is now." I said and they both nodded in agreement.

"Yeah, if someone told me that I would be Harry Styles girlfriend, I would have laughed in their face." Taylor said and I chuckled.

"I know. Our lives are amazing." Kali said as she jumped off my bed. I sighed as I got off my bed and walked towards the bathroom.

When I got out, I heard my phone ringing and I looked at the caller I.D. It was Luke.

"Hey babe." I said and sat down on the bed.

"Oh my God. Kristi." I heard from the other side of the phone. It wasn't Luke.

"Ashton? Why are you calling from-" I couldn't finish the sentence.

"Kristi. Something terrible happened. I need you to get down here fast." He said as I heard the worry in Ashton's voice.

"Ashton. What's wrong. Talk to me." I said getting up from the bed. I grabbed my coat and opened my door.

"I have to go." I said and the girls nodded their heads but they looked worried.

"Kristi. I don't know. Just please get here." He said and it sounded like he was crying.

"Okay. Calm down. I'll be there in five minutes." I said as I hung up the phone.

I called Steve and he immediately came driving to the front.

"Hey. Take me to the arena please." I said and he nodded.

The drive was quick and I literally jumped out of the truck and ran to the door. I saw the security guard and he knew right away to let me in.

"Ashton?" I called as I ran through backstage looking for them.

"Kristi. In here!" Michael yelled and I bolted to the room. I looked into the room and saw Ashton looking over something, basically crying. I slowly moved into the room. Then Ashton looked up and smiled.

What the fuck is going on.

"Why are you smiling? Is something wrong?" I asked and Ashton shook his head.

"No. We just acted like that to get you down here." He said and I crossed my arms.

"Are you fucking serious? I thought something bad happened to one of you guys." I said and Ashton shrugged.

"That's so cruel guys." I said and Michael laughed.

"Oh, you will get over it." Calum said and I rolled my eyes.
