Forty three

Waking up to a new house is the best feeling in the world. I rolled over and saw that Luke wasn't in the bed, so I got off of the bed and made my way downstairs.

When I got down there, I saw Michael, Calum, Ashton, my mom, and Luke all bringing presents into the house.

"Good morning everyone." I said as they all looked up at me.

"Good morning." Ashton and Calum said at the same time.

"Hey Kristi!" Michael said after them. I smiled and so did he.

"Good morning sweetheart." My mom said as she put one of the bigger boxes down.

"Hey baby. How did you sleep?" Luke asked as he walked up to me and gave me a kiss.

"Pretty good. It feels amazing to wake up in our own house." I said and he smiled.

"I know. Isn't it?" He said and I chuckled.

"Do you feel like opening presents now?" Luke asked and I nodded as I sat down on the couch.

A shit ton of clothes for the first year of the child, a stroller, a car seat, a bassinet, blankets, and a diaper dispenser later, I was finally done opening gifts.

I also got a shit ton of gift cards to the baby store that me and my mom were going to go to today.

"Did you like ours?" Michael asked and I looked at him confused.

"I didn't even open yours." I stated, clearly confused.

"Have you seen the baby room?" Calum asked and I nodded.

"We bought the crib and we painted the walls." Ashton said and I smiled as I got off the couch and gave them a huge hug.

"Thank you guys so much." I said as they all gave me kisses on my forehead and my cheek.

"Anything for our little niece." Michael said as he rubbed my belly. I smiled wide and I looked over at Luke who was smiling like an idiot.

After a little while, the boys left and I told my mom I was going to take a shower before we left.

I walked upstairs to my room with Luke and as soon as he shut the door, I engulfed him into a hug.

"Thank you for everything Luke. You are nothing but wonderful to me. Thank you for the baby shower and for being an amazing fiancée. I know I haven't been the best lately especially with that whole incident. But I love you so much and thank you for giving me this beautiful house and for giving me a family. Just thank you." I said and he hugged me even tighter.

"I love you so much baby. And since we're playing the thank you game, Thank you for the best year and a half of my life and for the more to come. Thank you for being in that crowd that day and thanks for sticking up for me in high school. Thank you for carrying my child. I love you so much to the point that I can't live without you." Luke said as he placed a sweet kiss to my lips. I smiled into the kiss which caused him too.

"As sweet as this was, I need to get in the shower." I giggled and so did he.

"Okay baby." He said as he gave me one last kiss and then he laid down on the bed and turned on the TV.

I took a somewhat quick shower. When I got out, Luke was passed out and I got dressed and made my way downstairs.

"Ready to go?" I asked my mom and she nodded as she got off the couch and I turned off the TV.

"This house is gorgeous." My mom said and I nodded.

"I know. I can't believe Luke did this. I mean I know he definitely hired someone to help but this is just amazing." I said as we looked around the house.

I then made my way to the front door. We both got into my Range Rover and we drove to the baby store.

When we got there, we did a lot of shopping. I picked out more outfits and we got a lot of diapers and burp cloths and so much other stuff that my mom insisted that we get.

When I got home that night, Luke was still asleep so I decided to go into the nursery and start setting it up the way I wanted it done.

I was putting the bed sheets on when I felt a pair of arms snake around my belly.

"Need help?" He asked and I sighed.

"No. Basically everything is ready now. Can we get a rocking chair though?" I asked and he nodded.

"Yeah. I'll get one for you tomorrow." He said as he pulled away from me.

"You did a good job babe." He said and I smiled.

"Thank you!" I said as I finished making her bed.

"I just want her here already." I said and he smiled.

"Me too. I'm so excited for her to get here already." He said as he walked over to me and gave me a kiss. I yawned and he chuckled.

"Ready for bed?" He asked and I nodded immediately.

"Yes, I'm so exausted." I said and he nodded as we made our way out of the nursery.

We walked into our room and we both laid down. Luke put in a movie but I immediately fell asleep so I didn't even see the beginning of it.

I woke up to feeling myself pee. But when it wouldn't stop, I knew right away I wasn't peeing myself.

I shook Luke but he wouldn't wake up.

"Luke... Luke.. Dude what the fuck. Get up!" I yelled and he jumped up.

"Kristi. Why the fuck are peeing the bed?" He asked as he sat up in the bed.

"You fucking idiot. The baby is coming." I said and he nodded.

"Oh okay." He said laying back down. I stared at him like he had forty heads. His eyes then opened wide and he fell out of the bed.

"Holy shit. The baby is coming. Holy fuck." He said and I laughed quietly to myself.

"Kristi, I can't be a fucking dad. Why did you have to get pregnant." He said and I rolled my eyes.

"Oh. Like it's my fucking fault. You're the one who stuck their dic-" he stopped me.

"Shut up." He said and I started walking out of the room.

"What do I do?" He said and I sighed.

"Grab the fucking car seat and the fucking baby bag and get in the fucking car and drive me to the fucking hospital." I said and he stopped and glared at me.

"Stop fucking cursing at me Kristi." He said and I groaned.

"I'll stop when you stop being a fucking idiot. Let's go!" I said and he chuckled, walking into the nursery as I walked down the stairs.

I got into the car and seconds later, Luke came running out of the house with everything.

"Oh my God. Can you drive please." I said and he sighed.

"I'm going, stop." He said as he reversed out of the driveway.

This was going to be a long long night.
