Forty eight

"Luke! Oh my God." I screamed as Luke was carrying me around the house. I sighed as I finally stopped kicking my legs and just gave up.

It's been a few weeks since the accident that happened with this father.

Luke's dad is now facing many charges since he attempted murder on me. We have court next week for that whole thing. For the breaking and entering, the attempted murder and so much more that has happened outside of here.

Apparently he was stealing money from some sort of company to make his look better. But that's too bad.

Luke's dad's company was going downhill and that's the reason for why he wanted Luke's money.

Luke put me on the ground which made me come out of my thoughts.

"Luke," I whined and he sighed.

"What is it Kristi?" He said and I rolled my eyes.

"Can we go out for dinner tonight?" I asked and he nodded his head.

"Yeah, that's fine. Where do you want to go?" He asked and I shrugged.

"I don't know." I said and Luke rolled his eyes.

"You always want to go out but you never know where to go." Luke said with a slight chuckle.

"Don't sass me Luke!" I said and he put his arms up in defense.

"I wasn't. Geez." He said and I couldn't help but laugh. I reached up to him and kissed him.

"Let's just go to the diner." I said and he nodded as we both walked upstairs. I went to grab Olivia as Luke got our stuff.

When he was done, I was finishing putting her in the car seat. He took the diaper bag and the car seat as I put on my coat.

We walked downstairs and then out of the house and put Olivia in the back.

Luke drove to the diner as we listened to our favorite song, I Miss You by Blink 182.

I was always so happy that we liked the same kind of music.

We pulled up to the diner and I grabbed the car seat and we walked into the diner.

"Table for two." Luke said and I smiled at the hostess. She nodded as she brought us to a booth.

When I sat down, I put the car seat in the seat next to mine and unbuckled her.

"She's so cute when she sleeps." Luke mumbled and I smiled up at him. He pulled out the menu and gave me one.

After we decided what we wanted, the waitress came and took our orders and Luke started a conversation.

"Are you ready for court next week?" Luke asked and I sighed.

"Not really. I just don't want to go through all of that." I said and he nodded in understanding. He put his arm on the table and reached out for mine which I did. He took in my hand and rubbed it gently.

"It's going to be okay. I promise. I'll be there and there is nothing to worry about. He's going to jail and that's final." Luke said and I smiled at him.

"Thank you," I mumbled quietly. He shook his head as he brought my hand to his lips and kissed it.

"I love you baby." He said and I smiled.

"I love you too." I said and just then, Olivia started crying and I sighed as Luke told me to give her to him, which I did.

"Shh. It's okay baby girl." Luke said as he rocked her back and forth and it put her back to sleep.

I put the car seat on his side as he slowly put her back down into the seat and then sighed.

"Yeah. We are definitely getting used to this. She's almost two months and we just know exactly why she's crying." Luke said and I giggled.

"I guess we are just great parents." I said and his smirk was huge on his face.

"Yes. Yes we are." Luke said as he looked at Olivia, with a huge smile on his face.

Court date.

Getting all dressed up for court was a waste of time. It was definitely annoying me, but the fact that he would be put behind bars gave me hope. Hope the everything was going to be okay.

"Come on baby, we have to bring Olivia to Michaels." Luke said and I nodded as I looked at myself one last time in the mirror and them walked out of the room.

Luke already walked outside and was putting Olivia in the back of the car as I sat in the front seat.

Luke got into the drivers seat and then started driving.

"It's going to be okay baby." Luke said as he grabbed my hand and gave it a quick sqeeze.

When we got to Michael's, Luke brought her inside and I stayed in the car. I few minutes later, Luke was walking out and then got into the car.

"Michael said that Olivia is in good hands, but that scares me." Luke said and I chuckled.

"Oh God. She'll probably have pink hair when we pick her up." I said and he Luke had a smile on his face.

"Maybe we should take her to Ashton's." Luke joked and I smiled.

"Nah. Maybe I want Olivia to have pink hair. It would be so cool." I said and Luke laughed.

"That would be cool though!" Luke said as we pulled up to the court house. I sighed as I looked out the window.

"Come on baby." Luke said and I nodded as we got out of the car.

Me and Luke were currently walking out of the building. There was flashes on us as Luke held my hand and guided me to the car.

When we finally got in, I sighed as Luke started the engine and drove to Michaels house.

"Well that went good." Luke said a couple of minutes later. I nodded.

Luke's dad was going to jail for a very long time. He was facing up to twenty years in jail, without parol.

So basically he was fucked for the next twenty years.

When we got to Michael's, I decided to get out so we can talk about the court stuff.

Luke told Michael everything as I played with Olivia. She interacts a lot for only being two months but that just makes me and Luke more excited because we both can't wait until she can play with toys and everything else.

"Babe? Are you ready to go?" Luke called about ten minutes later.

"Yeah. Grab her car seat?" I said and he mumbled a yeah and then left. I sighed as I put on her coat.

We finally left and when we got home, I brought Olivia to her room and then went to my room and laid down.

"Are you okay?" Luke asked as he walked in a little after me.

"Yeah. Just really tired." I said and he nodded as he laid down next to me.

As soon as he laid down, Olivia started crying and I chuckled.

"I'll get-" but I was cut off by Luke.

"I'll get her. You rest sweetheart." Luke said as he kissed my forehead and got off the bed. I smiled at him and he gave me a wink. And it makes me so happy that we got engaged, had a baby, and little things like him winking still give me butterflies.

I was truly in love with Luke and nothing was going to ruin that. .
