He's so Perfect

Forty four

When I got to the hospital, they told me that I was indeed going into labor.

Well thank you captain fucking obvious.

But what I didn't know was that the baby was coming and she was coming fast.

I have only been in the hospital for about an hour now and I was already six centimeters dilated. The contractions were horrible and they were basically killing me.

"Luke. It hurst so bad." I said and he sighed as he grabbed my hand. I started squeezing my hand as a scream escaped my lips. This pain was really getting to me.

"Shh. Baby it's okay. It's all going to be worth it in the end." Luke said as he placed a kiss on my forehead.

"Shut up Luke." I said. Clearly I didn't mean it but I was just in so much pain that every little thing bothered me at the minute.

"Sorry. I didn't mean that." I whispered and he nodded. He looked as if he was hurt by what I said but he will probably, slowly get over it.

Another contraction came and I was still squeezing on to Luke's hand. I knew that I was hurting him, but he didn't mind.

"Come on baby." Luke said as the contractions slowly started to calm down.

The doctor walked in and gave me a quick smile.

"I'm just going to check how far you're dilated sweetheart." He said and I nodded as he did so.

"Okay. You are nine centimeters. Were going to give it about ten more minutes to see if you can hit ten, and then we're going to start. Okay sweetie?" He asked and I nodded as he walked out.

"Baby, our baby is coming in ten minutes. This is crazy." Luke said and I smiled.

"I love you Luke." I said and he gave me a quick smile.

"I love you too baby." He said as he placed a small kiss on my lips.

Ten minutes later the doctor walked back in and told me that I was still at nine so he decided that we were going to start. I sighed but then smiled as Luke took a deep breath.

"We're about to be parents Lukey." I smiled and so did he.

"I know, this is crazy." He said and the doctor got ready in front of me.

"Luke. Do you want to hold her leg for support?" The doctor asked and he nodded slowly as he walked over.

"Okay sweetheart. Push." He said as the nurse beside me guided me through it, counting to ten.

This must have been the fifteenth time I pushed and every time it was getting worse and worse.

"You're almost there Kristi. You got this." The doctor said and I pushed again.

"I see the head." The doctor said and Luke's eyes went wide.

"Okay. Push." I pushed again. I was feeling so tired at this point.

"One more big push. Come on Kristi." The doctor said and that's what I did. I gave it everything.

I heard a baby start crying and I looked over at Luke who was just staring at our little girl.

A nurse handed him the scissors to cut the cord, which he did. They cleaned the baby up and then the nurse handed the baby to me. I smiled as Luke sat down next to me.

"She's so beautiful." Luke said and I smiled and nodded as I felt tears coming. Of course I would cry.

"Wanna hold her?" I asked and he nodded. I slowly moved her over to Luke and he smiled wide. I love how happy this little girl makes him.
