Rain was just leaving his last class for the day, when his phone beeped. Hoping it was Kit, who had not been responding to his messages since that day at the photo club, Rain pulled out his phone. Rain stopped in his tracks when he read the message.

"Kit's in the nurse's office. He was beaten up. Hurry." - Pond the Pervert

Rain blanched and set off at full speed. Ten minutes later, he arrived at the nurses office, out of breath. He burst into the room, and saw Kit standing there, his back to him.

"Kit!" Rain ran to him, and turned him over, still panting. His eyes, then his hands ran over Kit's face, his arms, his back. "Where are you hurt? Talk to me, baby, who hurt you?"

"Rain? What...? I'm not hurt. I got a message from Pond asking me to meet him here."

"Pond? He sent me a message you were hurt..." Rain halted as he realised what was going on.

Kit thought back to what Rain just said. "Did you just call me 'baby'? And why are you panting?"

Rain decided to answer the latter question, thinking it was better to ignore the first. "I was in the E building, I ran..."

"You ran all the way from there to here, when you thought I was hurt?" Kit face lit up. "I thought you hated me, because I kissed you."

"No, of course I don't... I was just worried, like I would about any friend."

"But why would Pond do that?" Kit looked at Rain, his eyes huge and hopeful.

Rain floundered, looking for explanation but couldn't think of anything, so he had to come clean. "I told the guys about that kiss on our beach trip, and they said I have feelings for you—."

Before Rain could finish, Kit threw himself in his arms and kissed him eagerly.

Rain pushed him away, gently. "They said I did!" But the look on Kit's face, the feel of his lips against his, and the emotional rollercoaster of the past minutes broke down his mental blocks. "Ahhh, hell, Kit," Rain groaned, and pulled the boy into a searing kiss, which told Kit everything he needed to know.

When they finally break apart, Rain stroked Kit's face. "I'm sorry I pushed you, last time. I didn't mean to. I just wasn't ready, and I panicked when you kissed me. The guys made me realise I was just afraid of getting hurt..."

"Then... you like me?" Kit's heart was in his eyes, and his lips trembled.

"Yes, Kit, you silly kitten, I like you," Rain said, his fingers whispering against Kit's smooth cheeks.

Kit's eyes light up. "I like you too."

"But what about that guy last weekend?" Rain pulled away as he remembered the photo he saw on that fujoshi site.

"What guy?"

Rain took out his phone, and showed him the photo.

"That's my cousin, he's visiting from Manila. But who took this photo?"

Relieved, Rain explained about the shippers, one of his arms around Kit, the other stroking his hair and face with marvelling fingers.

"That's kind of rude and invasive."

"Mmmm. But the photos of us actually helped me see what my friends saw. That I had fallen for you. I hadn't realised how much time I was spending with you, or how much I enjoyed having you close."

"You do?"

"Yeah, I kept telling myself that I just thought you cute in a cuddly, puppy sort of way, but I had to admit it wasn't just that on the beach trip."

"Why, what happened?"

"I'll tell you another time," Rain said and coughed. "Are you free now? How about we go have dinner?"

"You mean like a date?" Kit's plump red lips stretched into a delighted smile, and his eyes shone. He pressed himself against Rain and rubbed his face against his chest, humming with pleasure.

"Mmmm. Isn't that what boyfriends do?"

"We're boyfriends now?" Kit's eyes grew huge.

"Sure, I mean, I thought... Don't you?" Rain floundered.

"Yes! Of course yes! But I wasn't sure if you did."

"I don't kiss just anyone like that, you know."

Kit sighed happily and lifted his face up to Rain in a wordless demand. Rain stroked his face softly, and wiped his thumb across Kit's plump lower lip, and back, until he couldn't take it anymore. That kiss made Rain's toes curl inside his shoes, and left Kit panting.

"Come on, boyfriend, let's go before the nurse comes back."
