A month had passed since Jason had asked me to be his girlfriend and life in the resort became a happy routine. Most days Jason and I worked together, but the days we didn't I made better friends with the rest of our group. I understood Emily a lot more now, and Jenny was my new best friend within these walls, she was lovely but couldn't contest to Liv or Hannah.
Jason and I went out on a dinner date at least twice a week and headed into Bognor town at the weekends. In the evenings we kept busy with swimming, bowling, the staff entertainment shows and going to the cinema, it was turning into a free holiday more than it felt like work. I loved it here. I think I was beginning to feel the same way about Jason too.
I had applied for the position for Trainee marketing assistant and was still waiting to hear back, I didn't tell Jason about it because I didn't want our relationship to be based around the fact I might be staying, because the most likely outcome was that I wasn't going to get the job, and we'd still face the problem of trying to make things work from hundreds of miles apart.
"Finished for the day!" Jason tapped his watch, showing that it had hit 5 pm. We were at the top of the helter-skelter and had been working together there all day. It was crazy how much things had changed since the first night when we were stood in the exact same spot.
I grabbed a mat from the pile at the side and jumped on it, slipping down the rotating slide. After a few times working here, we figured this was a much more productive way to get down rather than walking backwards down the narrow flight of stairs. I reached the bottom and made room for Jason, he quickly followed.
"Well, well well..." A deep voice from around the corner sounded and Jason and I spun around to face where the noise came from.
"What the hell?" Jason looked confused for a moment, then his face lit up in excitement. Two guys appeared from the side of the helter-skelter, it looked as though they had been purposely hiding. I glanced at Jason in a confused manner, should I be scared? These guys looked kind of sinister hiding behind a helter-skelter, with the sky darkening each minute.
"The boys are back!" One of the guys shouted, coming closer and bringing Jason in an embrace, slapping his back.
"Grayson! What are you guys doing here?" Jason's smile grew even bigger as he addressed the guy. I realized at this point the two of them were identical twins, they both were tall and built, with black, short wavy hair. This Grayson guy had more of a blonde highlight going through his hair than his brother.
"Came to give you a cheeky visit!" The brother replied as he too embraced Jason.
"Ethan, it's been too long, man!" Jason's fist bumped him.
"Well, we decided we missed you. Sort of." Grayson chuckled.
"And we couldn't make it down for your birthday last year, so we decided to make up for it by coming down for the big twenty-two this time!" Ethan explained, him and Grayson smiling at the same time. They must have twin telepathy.
"Aw, you guys are the cutest!" Jason mocked, squeezing their cheeks.
Both their eyes glanced to me at that moment and I gulped nervously.
"And who's this then?" Grayson looked between us expectantly and I gave a small smile.
Jason stepped over to me and wrapped an arm around me "This is Lottie, my girlfriend." He smiled down at me, almost proudly? I swooned.
"Hi!" I stuck my hand out for them to shake. Grayson glanced at Ethan, and Ethan glanced at Grayson they paused, nodded then enveloped me in a massive hug. It kind of turned into a group hustle since Jason already had an arm around me.
