"Morning, birthday boy!" I looked down at Jason as he slowly began to wake up.
He groaned in response, rolling over further into the bed and burying his face in a pillow.
"C'mon! You gotta get up, the twins are waiting!" I'd already received two texts from Grayson asking what time to meet and where.
"They can wait longer," Jason mumbled into the pillow.
I rolled my eyes and started doing my makeup, knowing he could just roll out of bed, chuck on jeans and a t-shirt and be ready. I picked up my phone and checked Jason was still sleeping. I created a group text for Luke, Emily, Tommy, Jenny, Alex and the twins.
Hey guys, I'm doing a surprise party for Jason's birthday at 6 pm. Bring whoever you like, c u there!:)
I turned back to Jason and he was still snoring into the covers.
"C'mon!" I jumped on the bed, waking him "We won't have time for presents later unless you start getting ready now!" I tempted him.
His face turned to the side, appearing so I could see half of it now. His eyes glanced up to me "Presents?"
I chuckled "Yes, now hurry up!" I threw one of his pillows at him and he finally got up.
I walked over to the mirror and turned my straighteners on, deciding I'd make an effort with my appearance for Jason's birthday. Once I'd finished I texted Grayson that we would meet them at the fairground entrance in 15 minutes.
"You look pretty." Jason wrapped his arms around me from behind and kissed my cheek.
He was completely ready, I knew he could just roll out of bed in seconds. I playfully rolled my eyes.
"Thanks, you too." I stuck my tongue out at him in the mirror.
"Ready?" He murmured in my ear.
I nodded, turning and grabbing my bag. We walked through the building and towards the fairground together, I spotted the twins ordering from the food stalls.
"Hey!" I shouted to them as we approached.
"Finally!" Ethan replied, handing us a hot drink that they had ordered from the stall.
"Thanks!" I smiled up at them as I took the drink.
"I'm surprised it hasn't gone cold with how long you took!" Grayson playfully complained to us.
"That was all him, I was ready bright and early!" I insisted.
Jason rolled his eyes "It's my birthday, give me a break!"
"Oh yeah! Happy Birthday!" Grayson teased.
"Happy Birthday!" Ethan chimed in.
"Thanks, thanks," Jason shook his head laughing "now are you gonna give me a run for my money on the go-karts or what?" He taunted the twins.
Grayson snorted "Didn't realize you wanted to be an even bigger loser on your birthday!"
Jason rolled his eyes again.
"Yeah, the only real competition is between me and Grayson!" Ethan smirked.
"Hey, what about me?" I frowned.
Grayson and Ethan both looked down at me, then back at each other, then down at me again. They burst out laughing.
I crossed my arms and my frown remained.
"Fine, we'll race you. All I'm saying is good luck." Ethan smirked.
We made our way over to the go-karts, funnily enough, Luke was working today so he let the twins on for free, Jason and I didn't have to pay anyway. I giggled when I got given the one at the front, this would give me the advantage to block the others from overtaking me. We set off an I managed to block them for 5 laps from passing me, but then on the sixth Ethan and Grayson pulled up either side of me, both driving towards my car, forcing me to break and let them through so that I wouldn't crash.
