After work, Ray came back to our house while I was upstairs taking a hot shower. I gasped when I suddenly heard a belt buckle hit the tile floor. I peeked from behind the curtain and saw Ray taking off his pants. He saw me and smiled.
"Didn't mean to scare you, baby." He said pulling his jeans off his feet.
"I'm okay. I just didn't know you were in here."
"Well I gotta shower sometime. The concert was so exhausting."
I smirked as I went back into the shower. Strong arms suddenly wrapped around my stomach from behind and pulled me closer to it's body. Ray kissed my cheek and burried his face in my neck as the hot water hit his curly hair, making it drip on my already wet skin."You okay? You seem quiet." He said.
I was afraid he would think my feelings were odd and for no reason. He lifted his head then turned me around to look at my face. He cupped my chin making sure I was looking at him. He looked me dead in the eyes, searching for concern as I watched his eyes fill up with it."Talk to me, baby." He finally said.
"It's nothing. It's fine."
"Y'know you blush when you lie?"
"I told you--"
Suddenly Ray's phone rang and vibrated on the bathroom sink. He rolled his eyes then focused them back on me as it stopped ringing."Shouldn't you have gotten that?" I asked trying to change the subject.
"They'll leave a message. Now, spill."
"I just miss you."
"What do you mean? I'm right here."
"But you barely are. You leave me for long amounts of time and I know you love your job, I just...."
"Wish I was with you more?"I looked down but he pulled my chin back up then kissed my lips gently. We kissed for a little bit before he cupped my face in his hands and pulled away.
"Okay baby. I'll talk to Gerard about a break and you'll have me for as long as you want." He said.
"Ray, you don't have to--"
"Yes I do. You just say what you want, and I'll make it happen."
"No more night shifts?"
"Done."He kissed my forehead before shutting off the water. We got out and wrapped towels around us. Ray grabbed his phone texting Gerard about not working at night anymore unless it was necessary. After it was done, he put on new clothes and we cuddled while watching a movie.
