While at my highschool prom, I was already upset because my date stood me up but when I saw my crush kissing my enemy, that was enough to make me run outside crying. My best friend Ray saw me run out and he caught up to see me sitting on a bench in front of the school.
"(Y/n)? What happened?" He asked.
"My date cancelled on me, my crush is dancing with my enemy and I don't even know how to dance. I don't know why I even came." I sniffled.
"Well, my crush deserves a better night than this."He wiped my tear that fell then kissed my cheek making me blush. He stood up and extended his hand.
"C'mon. I'll show you how. It's easy. I promise." He said smiling.
I took it and pulled myself up. He guided my hands to his shoulders then put his hands on my waist. He started swaying from side to side to the echo of the music inside. We smiled at each other."See? Like I said, easy." Ray said.
"I'm y-your crush?" I asked nervously.
"I was waiting for the right time and I could never find it."
"This is so nice. I would've never got to dance with you if he didn't blow me off."
"He didn't deserve to dance with you anyway."
"Ray, will you....?"
"I think you know the answer to that."He stopped swaying and I looked up at him wondering why. He came closer but I backed up.
"Um, R-Ray?" I said
"What's wrong?" He asked.
"I've never been kissed before."
"Never?"
I shook my head and looked at the floor sadly. He lifted my chin again.
"Can I be your first?" Ray asked. He pressed his lips to mine gently but passionately. I copied his movements, kissing back. I closed my eyes slowly as the music changed to a different slow song. He pulled my waist closer to his and I tightened my grip on his shoulders. We started swaying again as we pulled away. I rested my head on his chest.
"That wasn't so bad, right?" He asked.
"I love you Ray." I giggled.
"I love you too (y/n)."
He kissed the top of my head lovingly.
