Chapter 36✨

David POV

I wake up at 1:09pm and slowly leave Liza's side trying not to wake her. I get up and walk to the kitchen to grab a glass of water. I drink the cup of water and leave a note on the counter saying I was out with a friend so her phone would ding if I texted her. I then head out the front door to my car.

I was in my way to meet with Claire. I told her I would hang out with her today since we literally haven't talked in person for years. Another thing about Claire is that she is Sams sister.

When Claire went on the world trip she went with her dad and her step mom while sam stayed here with her mom and step dad. Claire has always been the underrated child out of those two and Claire was my first girlfriend and even after I dated Sam I went back to her so we have a past.

I get out of the black car and walk into her Condo.
(she also lives by herself and is really rich)
I ring the buzzer with the number 96 above it for her apartment. The big door opens and I walk in through the courtyard in the front. I take the elevator to level 5.

I step out of the elevator then walk down the white hallway. I look around and see plants and pictures hanging in the wall. I get to number 96 then knock on the door. The door opens and I see Claire with a smile on her face (she's at the top).

C- hey David how are you.

She hugs me and let's me inside. I take off my shoes then shut the door behind me.

D- I'm good how are you. Even though we saw each other like 3 hours ago.

She laughed a little the walk over to the couch and sat down. I walk over then sat next to her.

C- so who was the girl that was at your place?

D- oh... her name is liza.

C- ok... is she your friend... girlfriend... or is she just liza.

She says as she crosses her legs like kids do.

D- I'm not for sure.

C- well tell me about it.

She says looking more interested.

D- are you sure? We've talk for like 5 mins and you want me to talk about myself.

C- yep. I wanna what has happened since I left. By the way how are you and Sam?

I sigh

D- we broke up.

C- really? When?

D- a couple weeks ago.

C- when I saw her in Paris she was talking about how much she missed you and she couldn't pass through time without... but then she cheated... a lot

D- I don't doubt it

We both laugh at the comment I made.

C- tell me about Liza

She said looking more interested again

D- she moved here this school year and yeah

C- that's all?

D- well we kinda have a thing but it's complicated.

I paused

C- well go on stop pausing

D- before she moved she had some...incidents happen. She came here and we really hit it off. She wants to date me but she isn't ready.

C- to date or fuck

She says and leans back a little bit. I laugh at her comment and shake my head.

D- to date you pervert. We have already...

C- fucked? Wow you aren't a virgin anymore.

She laughs

D- shut up.

I say grabbing a throw pillow and throwing it at her.

D- she's been acting weird lately. Like off or some shit.

C- well when I meet her I could talk to her and we can become closer.

D- yeah... anyways why did you chose to move back here?

C- everyone I know is here. Why would I want to leave that for ever.

I shrug my shoulders. She turns in the tv and we watch friends and eat popcorn that she had made before.

A couple hours later I get a text from liza.

Babe🥰

Hey where are you?

I went to Claire's house. I left
I note on the counter because
I didn't want to wake you

Oh okay...when are you
Coming back?

Do you want me to come back
Now?

No you can stay with her.
Just let me know 😁

I put my phone in my back pocket and walk to the door.

D- I gotta go but I'll see you Monday.

I smile as I'm putting on my red vans.

C- ok

She said getting up.

C- maybe we can have a friend date. You can bring Liza if you want so we can all catch up on each other's lives.

D- I'll ask her. Bye Claire.

She kisses me in my cheek than shuts the door behind me. I walk to the elevator and press main floor button.

I walk out of the elevator into my black car. I press the start button and head down the road back to my house. I hear a ding from my phone. I tell Siri to read the text so I wasn't " texting and driving"

SIRI
Babe🥰 said- can we talk when you come back?
Would you like a reply?

I tell Siri to call Liza... the phone starts ringing...

L- hello

D- hey. What do you wanna talk about? I'm on my way home.

L- umm I'll just wait till you come back.

D- well alright love you.
