"I Know You"

I see
That conflict
Behind your eyes
I see
Your mind
Is torn
Between two
Great things

You woke up
To take a drag
Then you
Looked at me
And said
Don't ask

I knew
I didn't have to ask
I knew this
Would be
Complicated
But I think
That's why
I wanted to try
To make it work

But I hate
Seeing you this way
And I hate
Seeing you settle
For him
Because you were
Right when you said
He didn't really
Know you

He doesn't know you
Yet you're leading
Him on
And I don't know
What to say
About that

You should have
Held your
Ground
