I need some space
I need to breathe
Lately I've been following
Your Instagram feed
No really it's fine
Don't worry about me
They're just pictures
I tell myself
Just scroll right on past
But the words are intriguing
No?
You're reading them now
Again and again
Because her words are what matters
It's what she has to say
The girl I've been thinking of
With every passing day
I words she says are worth a mention
I need to slow down
Okay
The picture is better
It's a girl you've been seeing
A girl I wish I was being
You need to slow down
Yes please do
Because quite frankly I'm done
Hearing all this from you
And it's not just about this girl
No
There's been quite a few
And you've told me about them all
All of them in queue
To gloat
To boast
Because I never have such things to share
So it's just you talking
You're the only one
And I'm there
As a listening ear
Because you have to tell someone
And it might as well be me
