"Move Over A Smidge"

Jealousy
Move over a smidge
Make room for happiness
There on the end

Sorry she's a little stubborn
Jealousy has good intentions
But really
She doesn't
She's right there
She can hear you
Happiness
Come on over

Happiness hesitates
Looking over at jealousy
Who hasn't moved an inch
She's content in her place
She turns her head up
Crossing her arms
Hand over fist
Happiness cowers
All too familiar with this
Behavior from her
I tell him it's okay
But a quick glare from jealousy
Told him not to listen to me
And just walk away

It's like they can't be together
Or in the same room
For that matter
Jealousy and happiness
They can't coexist
Why can't they get along?
Why can't they just be friends?
It makes me sad

That's when I see
Happiness is no longer here
With me
It's sadness
Beside jealousy
And they look like old pals
Together at last
They're a duo
Sadness and jealousy
There's no point fighting it
And together
Together they wreck havoc
