Catherine's P.O.V
"How'd you even get down here princess? Your balcony is completely blown off." Says a fellow soldier next to me.

We were in the war room now, and by 'we', I mean the whole fleet and royal soldiers. Turns out that the men who took Jack were disguised as royal guards as well, my fathers soldiers managed to capture one of them as he happily told us where Jack was being taken after almost cutting his tongue off. Thank the heavens we didn't.

"We used the vines that are grown around my outside window." I said as if it were nothing.

The soldier furrowed his eyebrows," I would never expect that, my princess. Although it does sound quite familiar..."

I began to remember when Jack climbed his way up to my balcony after being shot by Jacob. He makes no excuses to see me, so I shouldn't make any excuses to rescue him either. He would practically be bleeding  to death and he'll still go out to find me, and now I shall do the same.

My father pointed down a small hidden town in the forest," Your husband should be here, according to what the other man said."

"That's miles away from here. We would need to ride on horses if we would want to get there on time." Says Philip, studying the location on the map.

The men began to discuss whether we should ride on horse or go on a carriage ride over there. I thought about this privately, if we were to take a carriage ride to there, then it should be far away from any battlefields. Maybe then if we had a safe distance, we could ride into the woods and walk on foot from there on.

However on horse, it's not a bad idea unless if we ride away from battle now, our horses makes us easier targets and we'll go down faster than a jack rabbit. Well...there is one possible way to do this.

"Excuse me." I said.

Immediately all the men's chatter died out and all eyes are on me. I got a little shy but I still spoke about my plan.

"I see why not to try to combine the two rides together." I began to tell them my plan and observations of both rides, their eyes widening with realization.

"So, if we combined the two rides, meaning that if we go on horse half a mile then when we are in a safe zone, we proceed on a carriage ride to the woods and walk on foot from there on?" I bowed my head down, waiting for a response.

Everyone cheered and agreed with me, my father clasped his hand on my shoulder and gave a proud smile. I too smiled and look down at the map, I know that Jack would be proud of me too.

Jack's P.O.V
I was whistling as I carried prince Francis's body to his campsite, which was hidden in the woods, known to be the border line of both kingdoms. I would be lying if I said carrying him is a piece of cake, I mean this man is practically made out of muscle!

I laid him down and rests a bit. I looked down and grab a handful of snow and ate it, carrying a probably one hundred and eighty pound man while hiking in the woods sure does make a man dehydrated.

Hell, I'm probably in a state of shock, everything is just so sudden. One moment to another leads to another disastrous moment, and so on. I honestly did expect a little more of a fight with Prince Fran-

His body just groaned. I could of sworn it just groaned. I stopped eating the snow and stood absolutely still, I haven't realized I was holding my breath. I stared at Francis's body, waiting to see if I actually heard something or not.

His body didn't move or made a sound, so I let out all of my breath and threw away the snow. I was about to carry the body again...until it groaned again. I knew I wasn't hearing things!
