Ch. 20: Reunion

Rory's POV
"IF YOU CAN'T CATCH ME, HOW ARE YOU GOING TO LAY A HAND ON PRINCESS (L/n)?! YOU'RE PATHETIC, ALL OF YOU!" I yelled at the six older people who chased me, all running out of breath.

"HOW ARE WE SUPPOSED TO CATCH A SHADOW?!" A villain, Twice, yelled before collapsing, nearly being trampled by the two villains behind him.

"That's for you all to find out," I chuckled, shifting from shadow to shadow. Suddenly a green flash passed me and landed a punch on the shadow I was currently in, but it had no affect on me. You couldn't punch something without a physical body.

"Close one, Midoriya, but not good enough!" I was becoming bored with this training.

"That's ok Midoriya-kun! You still look sooooo cute!" A blonde-haired girl waved empty viles in the air, making Midoriya shiver. Toga made Myoung look almost normal. I became tired of this game and walked out of the shadow, almost crushed by falling rubble from above.

"Now that was the best work I've seen yet, Uraraka! Unfortunately, you losers suck. I'm bored of this so continue training on your own. We leave tomorrow and we'll need a miracle to not be decimated by the Crystalli Royal Army, let alone the princess. Later," I casually waved, ignoring Toga threatening Uraraka in the background. I walked to (Y/n)'s old room and belly-flopped onto the bed, rolling over onto my back. I had attended a meeting with Tomura earlier that day, for a quick debriefing on his plan— the plan we were going to completely ignore. He wanted us to bring back (Y/n) alive so he could either switch her to the League or torture her. He was growing tired of Shouto, who refused to eat for days at a time, and wanted to torture (Y/n) in front of him, hoping to get something out of Shouto.

This wasn't what I had been promised. Myoung told me they'd be happy if I joined and would leave (Y/n) alone. I just wanted her safety... but now I was being sent to retrieve her for her death. How lovely...

Timeskip

"Welcome to Crystalli, Idiots," I spoke monotonely and pulled up the hood of my black cloak, Myoung and Midoriya doing the same. Uraraka wore a white clone and pulled up her hood. The actual villains, Dabi, Toga, and Twice, were not wearing cloaks. We explained that, since the princess didn't know them, it was not necessary for them to hide their identity. I took in the sights of the Kingdom's capital, before something in the shadows caught my attention. "Looks like someone was sent to greet us, how thoughtful."

Sure enough, tape was sent flying in our direction, taking Toga hostage. Well that makes our plans easier, I thought. Toga's yells we're quickly muffled by the quirk user wrapping the annoying girl in a cocoon of tape.

"Now's our chance! Go while they're distracted," I whisper yelled, glad to have Toga taken off our hands. Everyone ran into the city, Dabi hesitating a bit, leaving the psycho behind. "We're lucky that area wasn't heavily guarded."

People bustled around us, laughing and talking. (Y/n) always loved sneaking out into the city, making me wonder if she had since she arrived back at home.

"Myoung, send Uraraka and Midoriya to a nearby bar. I want them to gather intel on the princess and her army. We need to know what exactly we're up against," I motioned at the two cloaked figures and Uraraka took her hood down. King All Might was scared out of his mind, since he had heard no word from Midoriya for three months, and had people all over looking for him. We couldn't afford having him getting caught.

Our groups split up and Uraraka nodded at me, indicating she knew the plan. Myoung walked up to me, before leaving, and stood on her top toes to whisper, "I'm sorry, this is all my fault, but we will make this right."

And with that, our plan was in action.

Ochako's POV

We walked into the dim-lit bar and sat at the counter, all of us asking for some kind of appetizer. We were hear to eavesdrop, but everyone was too interested in the cloaked figures to my left.
