21. meeting you was short

"w-what do you mean?" changbin nearly choked on his drink.

he started coughing and hitting his chest until he felt better.

woojin laughed. "like what do you think about him?" his head resting on his palm as he looked at the black haired boy.

there was silence for a short time and to be honest, the older didn't mind.

he knew the question would be absurd as they only met few minutes ago.

"i-i, urm..." the younger opened his mouth and started fiddling with his fingers.

because woojin was quite a gentleman, he was patient enough to wait for changbin's answer.

"i-i like him as a friend..." since he thought it ended right there, he stopped talking.

but he was wrong.

"you're sure about that?" the younger stared at him in confusion.

"what do you mean...?" his words were cautious.

he watched as woojin smiled.

"i saw how you looked at us hugging." changbin's eyes widened and alarmingly stood up.

woojin looked at changbin whose face was in distraction. "i-i need to go to the bathroom. if you'll excuse me."

he tried hard not to stutter but it wouldn't work.

he quickly left after placing his cup on the nearest table, leaving woojin on his own.

the older looked at the dark reddish liquid that was still presence in front of him and gently shook the wine glass before taking another sip.

back with changbin who was currently in the men's bathroom.

he stared at his own reflection in front of the mirror and wondered to himself what just happened.

reaching to touch his cheeks, he noticed that it was hot.

'w-what was he talking about??' he thought inside his mind and turned on the tap to splash cold water over his face.

it cooled him down but he was still curious as to what he was talking about.

he didn't know why he was feeling like this but he just couldn't stand to see hyunjin all over woojin like that.

of course it wasn't a bad thing or anything however, he just didn't like the idea of witnessing something like that with his own two eyes.

also, it wasn't like he actually has feelings for hyunjin or anything.

does he?

he knew what the feeling was however, he just want to forget it all.

know why? because it wasn't the first time he felt this way. he also felt like this for someone else.

but as you know, it didn't go well.

so he doesn't ever want to experience it again.

the other reason why he wanted to forget everything was because he was afraid.

afraid to lose someone he love.

love is painful; who knows when that person who you would die for will eventually betray and leave you.

or maybe, cheat on you.

or even worse, lose their love for you.

changbin experienced it with the second option. it was so horrible that it still traumatised him even at this day.
