Snape paced his office, back and forth. His arms were folded-he had an unhappy frown plastered on his face.

Snape {Three days! Three bloody days to teach Occlumency to a dunderhead like her! It's not enough time, Dumbledore's bloody mad if he thinks it will work!}

No matter how much Snape doubted you, he knew that he didn't have a choice. He had to at least try to teach you how to close your mind, if he wasn't successful, Voldemort was bound to intrude on your knowledge-using it against you, to somehow turn you to the dark side. Due to your parents being Death Eaters, Voldemort had some sort of connection to your mind, you were in line to become his follower, to fulfil your parent's duties. It was only a matter of time until he summons you, maybe even through Professor Snape...and Snape couldn't just give you over to the Dark Lord...something was stopping him, and it wasn't just Dumbledore's morals being plunged onto Snape's workload, it was something Snape felt. He couldn't watch a vulnerable adolescent follow her parents in a path to doom, Snape wanted to save you from Voldemort's evil grasp, no matter how challenging it was going to be.

Snape being under dictation from Voldemort, was a key element of the Order of the Phoenix, he would deceive the dark side by letting the Order know certain plans made by Voldemort. If Voldemort even got an inkling that Snape was being disloyal, he would do away with him immediately. It was a huge risk, a risk that only an exceedingly brave man would take. Snape was an extremely important member of the Order of the Phoenix, just as he was to Dumbledore and Voldemort. This exhausted him, he was always pretending to be someone he wasn't, always wearing a disguise on the inside, always fighting the evil with the good as well as dealing with his own inner demons. And now he has you on his plate too, a loose thread to a pair of Death Eater's that got themselves killed on a job. You were now his 'problem' and he was determined that you wouldn't follow their dark paths, not if he could help you.

After debating himself into a state of distress Snape finally decided to just give in and go through with the plan. Dumbledore has faith in you, so maybe there was a little hope for Snape too...

After a dreadfully sleepless night, you wake up feeling groggy and extremely tired. You got out of bed, readying yourself for the day in the laziest way possible. You had no energy for a shower, you hastily washed your face, brushed your hair out and didn't bother with makeup. Not that you needed it but it always made you feel more confident, however today you were to let your eye bags be the star of the show, you let your natural pale-freckled skin be free against your h/c hair. You looked into the mirror, applying a little bit of moisturiser, your skin gleaming.

You made your way to the Great Hall, going to your usual spot at the end of the Gryffindor table. You looked up at the high table, the professors were all sitting in there usual places except for Snape.

"Ahem" you turn around, only to be faced by Professor Snape towering over you. You look up at him, his dark eyes scanning over your face and hair.

"Can I have a word after you've eaten? I'll meet you in my office." Snape spoke before sauntering over to the high table.

You didn't even have a chance to answer. You watched as he sat down taking a green apple and buffing it on his chest, he then takes quite a sizeable bite, apple juice squirting into Professor Flitwick's eye. You snort, finding this slightly amusing, you start to laugh. Professor Snape looks towards you, catching you trying to muffle your laughter. the corners of Snape's mouth begin to twitch, as if he was going to...smile?

After you compose yourself you begin to notice people staring at you. You block them out, starting to dig into some syrupy waffles. You begin to think back to last night, could that be why Snape wants to talk to you in his office? You knew something wasn't right and you were determined to find out what it was...
